I've never preordered a game. Really, I've never looked forward to a game coming out. The games I've always wanted had already came out. This time I decided to preorder this game though.
Are you waiting to buy it when it comes out or have you preordered it?

I normally don't pre-order, either. Stores normally (and should) always have enough stock delivered to cover both pre-orders and walk-in purchases. I've walked into a store on release date and purchased a game without issue for years.

So, yeah... just waiting to buy the physical copy.

I usually don't preorder, but I have with this game. Somebody actually preordered for me thinking it would come about before Christmas 2019. So, I'm pretty happy I don't have to pay the full price.

Yes, I have pre-ordered and will be receiving it about a week after release.
This will be the first game I have ever pre-ordered.

Nope. I'm still waiting to see if any Canadian retailers will list preorder bonuses. If none are listed, I'll just get a digital copy.


Edit: I preordered a digital copy from the Japanese eShop as I had money on there. I'll get to play at 10:00 am EST on the 19th.

No. I typically don't preorder games anymore. Maybe a few days before release if I'm certain I want a physical copy of a game and to be able to play it on launch. Or if I want a particular preorder bonus - but I'm anti-clutter so it's digital bonuses that usually tempt me to preorder rather than physical ones.

I have never pre-ordered before...always waited a few months to a year or more before diving in. I am buying a switch just to play this game, so when I pre-ordered the special edition AC Switch at Amazon, I just added the game on to the order as well. This is my first time starting out an AC game at the same time it comes out...I pretty psyched about it.

I have preordered already as it was a birthday gift from my family, and it’s being delivered from target (it’s like mama waiting for the stork to come) I wonder if they are shipping the journal with it or will I have to go pick it up, probably will...

Main reason why I dislike pre-orders, especially if they're too be delivered. They can be late. :/

I decided to go digital this time and think I'll "preorder" shortly before release. I plan on purchasing 2 vouchers from Nintendo but they can only be used for 12 months, so I don't want to purchase them this early because I'm not sure yet what other game I'll purchase with them. Maybe Nintendo will release something this year or at the beginning of next year I would want to get with it and will hopefully announce soon.

Yep. My first preorder too, but that's just because it's cheaper this time.
