It really depends on where you stay. Some hotels are nice, but others are just... not so nice.
I usually stay at good hotels, and recently I stayed at an Embassy Suite for vacation. It was nice and clean, but the room service was quite slow. It took us 2 phone calls to the front desk just to get 5 washcloths and 5 towels, and then the next day, the room service people took our new clean towels away for some dumb reason. We had 5 people in the room. We needed those towels and washcloths. Other than that, it was awesome. The pool was the highlight of the hotel. It had an indoor pool that led out to an outdoor pool and a hot tub. They even had a movie screen playing old Disney movies. lol
Breakfast was free, and it was delicious.
Overall, it was still a nice experience, despite the slow room service.
I like staying in hotels, they're just so exciting. I think the last time I stayed in one was earlier this year, when I travelled across the country to visit a university. The beds are always so big and comfy and I love stretching out in them. I can imagine though that after staying in them too often though they would lose their appeal...
I like hotels. I think they're a nice change in environment. Obviously some are better than others. I find them to be pretty peaceful and it's nice to get breakfast in the morning. <3
