I decided to try to make my very own fashion line in ACNH today based on gyroids. I discovered that it is really challenging! I've never really gotten into designing my own custom patterns before. Has anybody else been trying something new? How is it going?

i decided to complete my museum a while ago, i've never done that before so i thought NH would be a great game to try since the museum is so pretty
but that took me less than a month to do (i reset a lot so i only did that in november)

now i've been trying to get every diy but i keep missing loads when counting through them so it's hard to keep track
to be fair there's over 600 and i'm terrible at maths
however i'm 1000% sure i only need 1 more now

but honestly the biggest challenge for me now is to pick a 10th villager because there's so many cute ones i can never choose just 10

I think my biggest challenge right now is getting every villager's picture before allowing them to move away. I decided to start doing this very recently, because I realized I liked having lots of different villagers instead of 10 set dreamies. That's been both fun and frustrating.

Also, completing my museum is a challenge I've taken on for this game. I've never done this in any AC game before. The most I've ever done was the fossils and the whole bug section in New Leaf. I've already gotten the fossils and the fish, but I have 4 diving creatures and 8 bugs left. I also still have almost all the art left, but I'll focus on that once I've finished the bugs and diving creatures.

I think after I do the whole museum, I'm going to focus on getting all the DIYs. That will be my next challenge, but is top time consuming to do alongside the museum for me.

I don't know if it fulfills the concept of challenging but I made a goal to only use custom designs made by my hands.

My background is art (so nothing new) but pixel art is not a medium I work in.

That's kinda it though for me.

I decided to build my missing ponds and waterfall today. It’s taken me all day really. I don’t like waterfalls or ponds, however I wanted to make my town functional. I think they’re coming ok. I’ve made two ponds so far and one waterfall. Trying my last waterfall now. I know it seems like such a simple task, but it’s a dreadful task for me. So I’m pushing myself.

while it’s not exactly anything new, i’ve been challenging myself to complete every nook mile achievement! it’s definitely a slow process but i’ve been doing really good + it’s honestly kind of fun! i always get such a nice sense of accomplishment when i get to cross an achievement off my list. :’)

I’ve also planned from the beginning of my island to complete all nook miles achievements and fill up the museum! over the summer I sort of fizzled out on trying to do this but I’m regaining motivation now and really want to get it done! although looking at some of the achievements (crafting 2k tools 👀) does make me wanna cry a bit.

I've been doing this from the beginning as well! Now it doesn't feel right to use a pattern unless I've made it myself.

I've mainly been going after the nook mile achievements too! I've got quite a few of the grindy ones down (5k fish, 3k diving, 3k tools, 3k furniture...)

The next big one on the list is the one for doing nook mile+ goals (Currently at 1830 out of 3000). I'd really like to finish up the bug catching one too, but the bugs won't really be around until march/april.

By trying to design my dang island 😂
man I like homes so much better

Anytime I need bells for something (moving a building, building a bridge, buying turnips, or, eventually, completing the final house upgrade), it’ll be fully funded by me. A couple of times I’ve simply bought the bells, but it’s not that difficult to make money. Keeps me playing at a more relaxed pace too.

I have given myself many different mini challenges to keep myself interested.
I have redone my island several times now, and have worked on the NM achievements, building up my catalog...right now I am working on getting all the DIY's and crafting each one at least once...that red wrapping paper still eludes me smh

I've been trying to earn villager photos. And I reset if I get really bored. My new island isn't to 5 stars yet, so I have that to work on.

That would totally be challenging! Especially since it is not something you normally work with.

Aside from maintaining to island now, I will stop neglecting Redd's visits to my town and start working on completing the art exhibit. I will also work on getting the photos from the rest of my villagers.

Thats another thing I think I will do. Collect villager photos. Once I have their photo they can move on. Want to see how many I can get before November 03.

After that. I might do a New Years rset for 2022

  • Collect all villager photos, and get all posters in my catalog, both on my own. There are a few villagers I'll have to add to my town again because I moved them out before I decided to do this, or forgot to get their poster.
  • Complete my catalog. There was a catalog island for all of the reorderable furniture I visited in the summer, so at least that's out of the way, but I only recently started seriously working on clothing.
  • Collect and craft all of the DIYs at least once. I need that checkmark and to be able to use them at Harv's.
  • Breed all of the flowers on my own. Again, started late on this one, but I'm only missing the blue rose, purple windflower and golden rose now.
  • Eventually get all of the NM achievements, but I'm not actively working on this currently.
