How are you going to incorporate Amiibo cards into your play?

I will definitely scan in my favourite villager, but otherwise, I'll wait to see who I get in game and what they're like. If I get attached to some new villagers and they have more unique dialogue, I won't move them out for amiibos. If I'm not a fan of them or they're more like New Leaf, where a lot of their dialogue is generic, I'll probably replace some of them because I can at least get villagers with designs I prefer who say the same things.

i'll probably just use one in the beginning in case the amiibo villagers don't move out as easily like in new leaf. i want to let villagers move in and out while i'm building up my island

I don't know if I'll use all of them as I have quite a big stack. I don't actually have many of my faves e.g. Julian or Erik but I think I want to either receive them non-hacked or carded in from another island, or organically receive them as part of gameplay. I'd be more than happy to help people with their dreamies by carding in villagers though.

I'll be using the amiibo cards as insurance sorta. If I take a break and a favorite villager moves out, I don't have to beat myself up for not playing every day or feel pressured to time travel to prevent it from happening. Instead, I can just scan them right back in.

I have one or two amiibos I'd like to scan in the game for the villagers I can't bear to live without - but I'm going to let it cycle for the rest of them. I'm hoping to be on a reset-ban which means that I'll have basically forever to cycle through villagers and make the most of their new dialogue. Also, I feel like randomly getting a Dreamie is much more rewarding than scanning one in.

I plan on using at least a couple of my Amiibo cards (of the five I have total). I’m not sure whether I’ll use all of them or not, but I have a number of favorite villagers who I know I’ll be happier having in my town, and I want to have at least a couple of close villager friends around at all times.

I’ll probably let random movers fill the remaining slots, and see who I get attached to.

I actually never got any of the amiibo cards so right now will not be incorporating them into my play. If I feel the need to I would be open to buying them this time around I think, but will try to visit this site to trade villagers/items first before buying them irl.

Most of the amiibo cards I have are either special cards for things like KK Slider or animals I don't really want in my town so I'll probably use them, but they're more a collector thing for me. It seems like there's more options for who can move in at one point, and since the campsite is making a return I don't feel the need to stock up on cards in hopes I can get a villager I want.

i bought 10 amiibo cards from etsy after seeing the direct, so that i can move in my favourites and have each personality moved in as soon as possible!

i got merengue, marshal, rosie, cookie, fang, whitney, apple, stitches, fuchsia and hamlet

i'm planning on replacing some of them with new villagers, depending on their personalities :D i'd really like the heterochromia cat, blue and purple cub, and the new sheep! it's nice to have some new faces, a mix of new and old villagers would be ideal

I'm actually really conflicted about this. I have a ton of the amiibo cards, including the sanrio collection. Part of me wants to scan in Every Villager but I also really, really, really want to see what kinds of new villagers I could meet! I think I'll start out seeing who moves in naturally, and then start nudging out anyone I'm not a fan of with cards.

It'll be so tempting to fill my island with dogs...:(
