I keep seeing such cute signatures. You know, ones that introduce your town, have a pretty pixel image behind them, and include those adorable pixel arts of the villagers?
I'm wondering about the sources of the images used. Where'd you find the backdrops? Where are the animal pixels? I'm asking individuals about what they personally used, because I'm curious.

The pixel icons are made by someone named Hoeass, they've since deleted their blog but their art has been reposted. Just search something such as "ACNL pixel icons" and you'll likely find it.

Most signatures are put together by people in the Museum Shop.
The backdrops just seem to be random gifs, so you'll likely just have to ask each person where they got theirs.

If you're looking for a pixel gif, then searching something like "kawaii pixel art", "cute pixel art" etc. with the animated filter on usually does the job. Otherwise tumblr is the best placer to find aesthetic gifs :p Same goes for shapes, just search for a shape or a silhouette and something should pop up. I believe most of the signatures would be made in photoshop, or similar software.

Hey! I have a signature shop of my own. I use photoshop to create them. For the backgrounds, I just look up tumblr/cute pixel backgrounds and things like that. For the villager sprites, this tumblr account has reposted them :)

I sometimes have others design signatures for me, but it was me who designed my roller coaster signature. I used PowerPoint and played with shapes, lines, and colors. I save a whole bunch of pictures of these shapes and use an online gif maker.
