♟️How do you feel about chess?

not played chess before. learning all the ways which the different pieces can move would confuse my brain

i like the idea of watching people at tables playing chess in the street though

It stresses me out. After watching The Queen's Gambit, I've come to appreciate just how complex it can be (different openers, planning 10 moves ahead, replaying games to see where you went wrong, etc.)

i love chess!! i used to play a lot when i was in elementary school as we had a chess club (not very popular, there were like 5 of us ) and afterwards i continued to play a bit of online chess (against bots, albeit) but it never really felt the same as i like to feel the chess pieces in my hands. unfortunately, our old chess board was broken and had to be tossed long ago so i just opted not to play. i haven't played in many many years but hopefully i can buy us a new chess board someday. i adore board games so there are many i want to buy to be able to play with my family

I haven’t played chess in years but I do like it. Am I any good? probably not lol. I definitely would probably prefer a physical chess board and opponent (mainly friends, not randos) as oppose to online chess. Online chess would be good for practicing though.

I’ve never played chess, as it’s not really my thing. It seems fascinating from afar, but I think I'd get frustrated with the slower pace.

I've tried to play it, but it was so boring that I couldn't even force myself to. Now, I've forgotten all the rules & hope to never have to play it again.

I've played some chess in the past. Enough to how to play and be able to beat some family members in it but I have yet to play in in the last few years because I haven't had any interest in doing so

I feel badly about chess. I'm not good at it.

I love chess. I was great at it as a child at the local library tournaments for kids my age, and then beating their parents who challenged me to see how good I actually was.

Truth be told, I am not that good. I am better than average, for sure, but when I play someone who is truly good at chess... it is embarrassing!

But I believe it is the ultimate strategy board game. Even if I lose, I learn a little, and I always love learning, even through defeat!

My joker arc began when I thought I opened a game really well, and then my opponent taught me about a technique called "en passant," which is French for "cheating"

I’m not a fan of chess. My boyfriend got me to play a few times but it doesn’t click for me. I don’t really retain the rules or strategies well and it ends up feeling more frustrating than fun.
