i consistently stay up until 2-3. i’d love to go to bed earlier, but at the same time i don’t really get time to myself until late night so i’ve yet to break the habit. factoring in i also have insomnia, even if i do try to go to bed early i’ll still be up hours after that, melatonin or not.

I'm pretty good at it. I used to not be able to sleep early at all, but it didn't matter all that much because every job I've had up until my current one has been overnight shift. I worked third shift by choice because of the hours. It had little to nothing to do with the pay differential.

I'd call myself an early bird now because I prefer morning shifts. That may just be because of the difference in maturity level of the two shifts, but I do prefer the hours and morning shift's workload, as well. I converted into an early bird more recently and the night shifts that I'm working are just temporary. Someone else is occupying the morning shifts, but I'm in line to take them once they retire or quit.

In other words, I'm good at going to bed whenever I need to. I've also gotten so much better at waking up to alarm clocks all by myself.

I loove sleeping I'm an old lady and go to bed at 9 or 10 PM. Also because I need at least 10 hrs of sleep usually or I just get so groggy.

I mean saying I always go to bed early is a stretch but in general I do. My work makes me pretty sleepy (I work with toddlers so it's a lot of physical and emotional work) so I find I'm generally able to fall asleep early. I try to stay up late sometimes but really my late is like. Midnight as best and then I'm out 😴

Terrible, honestly. 😭 I go to bed around 11 PM - And I mean I literally go into my bed around that time, but I'm not asleep until at least 1 AM-3 AM. Sometimes I'll even stay up till 4 or 5 if it's a particularly restless night.

I stay up because I can't sleep right away and I also can't shake off this "x time is too early for bed" mindset. It's pretty bad, but I don't foresee myself changing that anytime soon. :v

It really depends on my plans. If I got work, 12 - 3am is usually when I punch the pillow.
But, if I got 0 plans I'll stay up until my body is monkey screaming at me.

I’m really bad about staying up late and not going to bed early. However, I have tried to get better at it.

I often go to sleep early, around 9pm, but this is because I wake up really early. It’s easy to fall asleep when you’re exhausted:) 10pm is my witching hour. If I’m trying to stay up, if I can make it past that 10 o’clock hour then I usually get a second wind. But when I was waking up at 4am every day for work (first for 5 years because I was catching an early morning train into work in the city, and then for 11 years because of medical training, mostly during the seven years I was a surgical resident), it becomes really easy to fall asleep “early”. But when you’re working sometimes 24/7, early is all relative. What is sleep? What is time? I ask patients all the time,’what is the date today’ to check if they are mentally with it, but I don’t know what day it is half the time!

I’ve always been a night owl, and have always struggled with going to bed at a reasonable time. I just prefer the nighttime. It’s quiet, there’s nothing to do, and nobody’s expecting anything from me. I can just sit and chill for a while, and I like to enjoy that for as long as I can. I also feel more energetic and motivated to do things at night for some reason. 😅

I haven’t pulled an all-nighter or stayed up late enough to see the sun rise in a long time, though. I don’t have it in me to try and pull all-nighters anymore, and I’m usually fast asleep by the time the sun rises. The latest I go to bed these days is 4-5am, though my average bed time is 2-3am.

I’m never tired before 1am unless I’ve had a particularly exhausting day or if I happened to wake up early/didn’t sleep well the night before. I’d like to try to start going to bed earlier and waking up earlier though, as I always feel better mentally and more productive when I wake up before noon.

Historically I'm terrible at it. My brain almost never shuts up so I often don't go to sleep until I'm exhausted.

For the past year, I've tried to go to bed within an hour of my partner, if not at the same time. She gets mad at me if I wake her coming to bed. If I come up relatively soon after her she'll still be awake watching videos on YouTube.

i'm usually good at going to bed early but i've been really bad at it as of late 😭 i've been sleeping super late recently since i have a lot of free time and no class.

the next few weeks are gonna be a very busy week and i want to be as well-rested as possible so i've been trying to get my sleeping schedule in check. the latest i wanna sleep by is 10 or 11.

I usually go to bed very early, but I also usually get up very early too. It's mostly been just because it's what works for me currently (and what worked previously too). I'm not necessarily great at getting to bed "on time" or getting enough hours of sleep though! 😴

I used to try to go to sleep by 3 AM and on the rare occasion up to 5, but lately I’ve been staying up even later because when I try to sleep, I have a lot of racing thoughts and start thinking about stuff that depresses me, so for now, I’ve been trying to distract myself as long as possible.

it might be because I'm getting old (lol) but I can't stay up past midnight anymore, or else I turn into a zombie 😂 I usually go to bed around 10pm and I'm asleep by 11, but sometimes I'll go to bed as early as 9pm (any earlier is difficult bc I usually don't get home from work til 8pm). so I guess it depends on what your definition of "going to bed early is".

I used to have an awful sleep schedule where I would go to bed at 5am and get up at like 2pm everyday.

These days I go to bed around 11pm - 12am, then wake up at 7am! Mostly due to getting job so i actually need to be get up now lol.

I basically HAVE to go to bed early as I wake up at around 5:15 - 5:30 AM every weekday for work. I still remember a period in my life where I could stay up until 2 AM feeling fully awake, and sleep in until 12 PM. Nowadays, I grow tired starting at 9 PM, and usually want to fall asleep at 10:30 PM. I'm hard-wired to wake up before 9:30 AM. Unless I switch jobs, I don't see myself staying up late regularly again anytime soon.
