I've been a bit off ACNH for the past month due to a lack of storage space, but whenever I get on, I'd pick up the daily DIY bottle and I'd try to complete most of my Nook Miles+ quests. I'd also plant money trees whenever I spot one and check my Nook's Cranny and Able's! You can never go wrong with more furniture/clothing (my hoarding tendencies showing right here...)!
I'm still hitting rocks daily so that I can have iron and clay to make iron wall lamps to get villager photos. I wasn't planting the money tree daily until the new expanded storage option became available. I spent all my bells paying mortgages and saving up for expanded storage so now I am bell-poor again and need to plant the money trees.
Every day I do what I call "making my rounds" which is stepping out of my house and checking my mail, taking my shovel out so that I can take a roundabout trip of my island to dig up fossils and the money spot all while picking up any tree branches or weeds or lost items (I also usually come across my beach diy doing this). Then, after I've made my way over the whole island (at this point I take the same path for this every day lol it's become a bit of a ritual) I go to the museum to get the fossils assessed. After that I go to nook's to sell the fossils and anything else like weeds and sticks that I picked up while making my rounds, and then I lastly I go to the able sisters. All in all, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do all of that, and then I just play however I want to. I've also found that doing all of the "chores" at the beginning makes it so I'm not stopping what I'm doing every other minute to dig up a fossil or something lol
I only dig up fossils, for the most part. I'll go a couple days between assessing them, so I can do them all in one go! If I'm into redecorating my island and moving things around, I'll do my daily switcharoo of house plots or inclines. And, of course, I get my daily DIY bottle! Not that I tend to get anything amazing in it these days....
Basically making my town look as neat as possible. Dig up fossils, re-arrange weeds (there are some areas in my town where I have "decorative" weeds so I have to pick and replant them), pick up branches, collect message bottles, get rid of rocks, etc. But something I started doing recently is completing all my badges. So now I try to collect manila clams as I go about my day, try to fish at least 10 fish in a row, catch 10 bugs and deep-sea creatures, etc.
I still dig up fossils because I havenāt finished the collection; do still hit rocks, collect DIY bottles, and visit villagers who are crafting. I also visit the shops to buy furnitures, and will hit balloons if they happen to hover over my head. However, I no longer care about gold spot and am too lazy to shake up all the trees... all the other ādailyā stuff I do occasionally and really only do those for racking up the nook miles now
I sometimes get this stuff while shaking trees to axe (or just axing, when I'm too lazy to bother with shaking first) for mats. but otherwise, I don't bother, since I have all the furniture it could give me as well. wasps are easy enough to catch, but generally not worth the effort for, imo, due to cleanup
I still look for my DIY bottle, try to find fossils, and shake trees for seasonal mats. I rarely look for the shiny bell spot or hit my rocks anymore. I really only chop trees and plant flowers if Iām working on a new area. I also weed only once a week or so. I used to have like an hour a dayās worth of daily chores I did but it got to be too much so I had to cut it way down!
Tbh.. I forget they're a thing until I talk to my villagers 3 times, or smack trees with the axe and get wood, or fish 5 times, etc etc etc. And then I forget the next time I play.
I havenāt been doing any tbh. Up to Harvest Festival, I was picking mushrooms before logging out. After Harvest Festival, I havenāt logged in. I will be back to playing once I get going on my journal again; taking a break while my art commission is being worked on .
+ I gift my villagers who I still need photos from
+ I look for at least one crafter plus the beach DIY (I used to make sure to get all three each day)
+ I interact with the visitor if it's someone I'm still interested in
+ I still dig up and appraise whatever fossils I come across, but I don't seek them out
+ I still look in Nook's Cranny, and maybe once or twice a week it'll have a new piece of furniture still
- I'll hit a rock every now and then
- I rarely bother with the money trees
- I haven't shaken a tree aside from getting acorns/pine cones in months
- I only pick fruit when I need to chop some wood for crafts
- I tend to ignore the Able's shop now
- I still need a bunch of Mermaid stuff, but I still don't bother to go diving for scallops most days. The rate of getting pearls from him is too high
Occasionally I'll hit the money rock, normal rocks and shake trees. I do pickup the bottle diy still because I'm missing some obscure diys (too lazy to buy them).
I stopped digging up fossils and hid them strategically around my island. The gold spot just gets ignored.
I have a daily routine that I follow every time I play. Now that it's November, I pick up all mushrooms I see, as well as all tree branches (it's always 15 tree branches, I don't know why). I take out my shovel and dig up my daily 4 fossils, hit all rocks to get materials and money, and then craft stuff with those materials to sell them. I also identify the fossils at the museum and speak twice or so with every villager on the street and at home. Then I visit the Nooklings, check what they have (usually nothing valuable), sell fossils and what I crafted, and I then I visit the Able Sisters. They usually have nothing, but I go every day anyway. I hope they start selling winter clothes come December.
If a villager asks me to deliver a package, I do it. It's clothes 90% of the times, and since most times villagers do this game where I have to guess, I end up receiving the (mostly ugly) clothes they would've end up wearing. If it's any other request, I say no, unless it's a treasure hunt, but they're kind of rare. I finish at Resident Services to collect my daily 300 Nook Miles (I don't know why I do that because I have like 350k and I can't use them anywhere, but still).
Daily routine now is to get my 5 mushrooms and check for the daily NPC. Sometimes I stop to do other things like get some wood, order some items from catalog, tidy up here and there, get a pinecorn/acorn etc depending on my mood.
I have a set routine of how I go about doing tasks I will start by shaking all of my trees for acorns and pine cones starting from my house going to the left side, picking up any mushrooms and fossils as Iām going alone, check the beaches as Iām going for the bottle. Pop any balloons if I see any during this as well as seeing which villagers are in their homes and getting the diy off them. Then go to the museum to check the fossils (even though Iāve completed that section) and check on my little garden of red and black roses (desperately trying to get those gold roses) then go check Nooks, sell anything I donāt need and buy anything I do, check turnip prices. See if any NPCs are here then go to Ables and have a nose at what they have and then bank any money I have which is over 50,000 (I really donāt know why I hate having over that amount on me) check the recycle box. After that all that I will either try to ballon farm, finish for go diving to get a scallop for Pascal or if I get some inspiration for my island I will try and achieve that
In my first island I no longer do any of the daily tasks. I'm more focused on decorating at this point. As for my second island I still dig up the glowing spot and bury 10k.
I've barely played recently but I usually just go around the shops, pick weeds and talk to 1 or 2 of my favourite villagers if I see them around. I find it exhausting to do every daily task all the time tbh ;A;
