I know a lot of members participated in many of the events. I am curious how many hours you guys have put into the TBT Fair working on submissions and whatnot. I personally only put a couple of hours in, although if you include Switch Stars I probably played 10-15 hours of Smash Bros alone.

i'm just guessing 40+ 'cause of all the art related things and i also admittedly spent an embarrassing amount of time on mirrors

I spent lot of hours, every day, because I'm not really talented and it takes me forever to draw or color something with my cheap mouse. The +15 hours I spent coloring something would be like 1 hour or less for someone else haha. I was always in the last ones to submit something, not because I was procrastinating, I'm just way too slow, and for that reason I couldn't spend much time with the house or mirror.
Because I don't have a Switch or ACNH, I couldn't do all activities, I really admire ppl who managed to do all of them!

I know I've for sure spent 40+ because of all the art or art-related things I've done for this fair lol. The fair has taken over my life for the past month and while i really enjoyed it, I'm glad it's coming to an end because I feel pretty burnt out. :'>

I'd say about 30-40 hours for me! I spent a lot of time on event/contest entries as well as several hours of Switch Stars.

Hmmm....
  • ~4 hours on each Celeste page = 12 hours
  • 1.5 hours on each Dream Sequence drawing = 3 hours
  • I'll estimate that I spent 1.5 hours on all the cozy photos together
  • Let's also say 1.5 hours for Starry snaps, but at least half of that was challenge 2 alone (that darn beetle)
  • 10 minutes per Dreamy Dresser = 0.5 hours
  • For mirrors, I spent about 2.5 hours each on Diantha (who I didn't even get lol) and Min Min but no time on the rest, so that's 5 hours
  • I spent like a full 24 hours thinking about my haiku entry but I'll say I spent 3 hours actually sitting down and writing it (I wrote one that could be read both backwards and forwards and has a different meaning each way, it was pretty challenging to do)
  • I'll estimate 1.5 hours doing Tiptoe and Switch Stars (half an hour per week)
  • 1 hour on my cosmetics entry
  • 0.5 hours on my Harvey's entry and Fireworks entry
  • 1 hour writing content for my group's magazine entry
  • 0.5 hours on Half Past Hoodwinked
  • 1.5 hours in trivia night
Anything I left out didn't take me a significant amount of time (I think just Signature Stylings and Count Inside the Bottle are left)

That makes a grand total of...approximately 32.5 hours :p but who's counting?

celeste and magazine were probably 40 hours alone lmao and the fort for cozy photo took way longer than i would like to admit 😔 i no longer know what to do with my time

Probably 30-40+
Most of that came from drawing and art itself since doing art can take hours.

I wanna say less than 10 because I don't have the time or talent to make decent art. Each of the Celeste's Observatory pieces took me about an hour each (maybe an hour and a half for the first one because there were sooo many tiny details). Cosmic Cosmetics took me like an hour and a half as well. The rest of the events combined maybe took 5 hours? Honestly, I'm not sure. College and the Fair don't mix well, unfortunately, but I did my best with the time I had.

Over 40 hours just for the magazine mash up. Which seems like a pretty decent amount of time to work on art within a deadline, lol.

Everything else was 30 minutes to maybe an hour tops.

I probably spent about 20 hours on fair stuff not counting the House of Nightmares. I'm not even sure how much time I spent on the mirrors because I'd just scroll through characters for a few minutes at a time every time I had a chance. I'm just going to estimate around 30 hours or less total.

Here's the breakdown:
Celeste's Observatory - About 3 hours or so per round for a total of 9-10 hours.
Dream Sequence - About 1 hour per round for a total of 2 hours.
Cosmic Cosmetics - Sadly about 2-3 hours even though my entry was really basic.
Haiku - I sort of wrote it in my head while doing other things that didn't require my full attention, so I wouldn't consider much time devoted to it even though I spent several days on it.
Half-Past Hoodwinked - Maybe 1-2 hours total, not really sure.
Cosy Photos - About 1 hour to build the fort and maybe another hour for all the others combined for a total of 2 hours.
Count in the Bottle, Dream Prompt, and the Signature - Probably an hour or less total.
House of Nightmares - Unknown but way too much time to only get Yoshi right. 😛

I didn't participate in Magazine Mash-Up because I knew I didn't have time to devote to it. I couldn't participate in any of the challenges that required ACNH or a Switch because I don't have one. I didn't participate in Trivia Night because I don't really think I'd be able to answer anything quickly enough in Discord.

I think most of my time was spent on the magazine and coloring. The second largest time-sink was trying to google search and compare each of the nightmare images with official art.

im gonna say 40+ since the art and layout of our team's magazine alone took me about 24+ hours to do kjdsfhkdj. The other 24 hours is divided among the coloring events, drawing for the dream sequence & art+sig, and figuring out the damn mirrors (only to get them wrong 😭 ).

I voted 10-20 hours cause I know I spent at least 8-10 hours on the second coloring page, but the rest of the contests I didn't try so hard in. I think I spent like 2 hours on the magazine, 1-2 hours on the first dream sequence, same for the second one. Each of the other contests took me at most 15-20 min each.

I could've possibly spent more time on this fair but it's hard to do when you're a full-time senior college student.
