how old is too old for stuffed animals?

How can you put an age limit on soft toys 😳. When I was a child i collected them and absolutely loved my animal friends. I stopped for a while and I wish I’d kept them all. While my son was growing up it was a fantastic excuse to buy an erm few (lots!!!) more 😊

I’m off work sick with a virus and chest infection. Feeling totally miserable. My son went to get my antibiotics for me. He also brought home a new friend to cheer me up 🥰

Need a name if anyone has a suggestion 💜

NEVER! Love what you love!!! I LOVEEEE plushies and stuffed animals! They are so cute and fluffy! My parents used to hate that I loved them so much but I think they saw how happy they made me so now I can buy them if I want!

I haven’t cared about stuffed animals since my Webkinz obsession in the fourth grade… but my roommate is obsessed with Squishmallows and somehow I’ve ended up with two that I would defend with my life

Edit: a 🐱 and a 🦇, for reference!

I don't believe there is an age limit. But there may be a limit on how many you should have lol. They can take up a lot of space which can be really inconvenient if you live with someone else. Especially if they aren't much of a fan.
I love to look at them online or in stores. I love seeing ones people make themselves on Twitter.

Never. I'm 35 (almost 36) and I have four stuffed animals on my bed, one is called a dozy dog as it looks half asleep, another is a husky I bought from Finland around 10 years ago, the third is Simba (from the Lion King) that I've had since I was 6 years old and the fourth is a small beanbag style Dalmatian dog.

I will forever be a plushie enthusiast idc what anyone thinks!! No one's too old for fun things, don't let anyone dull your passion ✨ It's really funny because a while back I was talking with my friend and she likes making fun of things, but then she said she could never call me cringe because she knew I stood by the things I liked without caring what others thought. :]

I have 3 plushies I want to share! First is my beloved Floral Froglet from Cookie Run that I crocheted myself, I've had him for like a year and he will always be on my desk. He's the reason why my desk area is frog-themed with pink and green! I'd like to think he's the only Floral Froglet plushie in the world and I will cherish him so much.

Last is this Japanese pastel Kuromi plush! I already shared her picture with a few friends on TBT ❤️ She was such an impulse buy from a toy convention, I literally just saw her on top of a glass case and went "omg is she for sale" and the seller went "we were planning to sell her online but if you want her........." They let me hold her and I never let her go since!!

Basically you are not too old for anything fun and harmless! I support impulsive buys of toys and plushies!! Follow your heart and happiness!!

I don't collect them or buy any new ones, but I think I have one or two of store in my attic when I was younger as a memento. With that said, if it's something you enjoy, just go for it. There's always going to be someone that will judge. Just do what you like. Owning, buying, collecting, and decorating with plushes isn't hurting anyone. And if they really gotta make a big deal out of it, it says more about them then what they're trying to say about the other person.

I'm nearly 30 and still have tons of plushies! A few old ones I can't bear to part with, a few new ones too cute to pass up at the store!

i don’t think you’re ever too old for stuffed animals. i turned 21 today, and my bed is covered in squishmallows and other stuffed animals. they honestly take up more of my bed than i do lmao. i have so many that not all of them even fit on my bed; some of them are on my bookcase, on a chair i have in my room, and in a container. i still have a few stuffed animals from my childhood, and a squishmallow + teddy bear i got from my grandmother when she passed. i’m trying not to spend much money on new stuffed animals nowadays since i really don’t have room for any more, but i always check out the stuffed animal section in stores when they have one, and i can’t resist still buying squishmallows/stuffed animals that really catch my eye.

i hate the stigma that stuffed animals are childish or only for kids. regardless of if a person is 6 years old or 76, i think everyone should be allowed to own and/or find comfort in stuffed animals if they want to. it’s one of the most harmless things in the world, and i’m a big believer that people should do whatever makes them happy as long as it doesn’t harm anyone. i‘ll probably continue buying squishmallows and plushies forever as long as they keep being so cute, getting old won’t stop me. 🤣
the 3rd one even has a baby rattle in it 💀

you're never too old. I'm almost 18 and have lots of plushies in my room, especially dragons. I'm a real big fan of dragons and have a lot of them in my room. the plushies that I sleep with the most are my fluffy raccoon plush and big fat dragon plushy that I made at home. 😂

I agree with everyone saying that you're never too old for plushies. I'm almost 31 and I just got my Build-a-Bear Isabelle plush in the mail yesterday. I have a lot of stuffed animals and I still buy the ones I fall in love with. I also collect Pokémon plushies and I'd love to get started on Snoopy, Jellycat and Sanrio plush collections. I sleep with my Build-a-Bear Tom Nook and Dory plushie every night. (My mom also had plushies and still bought them at 60+ years old. Everyone thought it was adorable - and it was. Trust me, you're fine. c: )
