Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts! I found a flea market in my area that is tempting me to expand my collection. Or hoard for the opportunity to gift. I think I may have a problem. LOL
if someone ever tells you that any age is too old for stuffed animals then you should definitely avoid them at all costs, nobody needs that kind of negativity in their life
yes I have well over 100 different stuffed animals, most of them are Webkinz and Beanie Babies but I collect lots of different kinds. I would love to share them here but there are so many it would prob take me a while to take a pic of them

I'd say anywhere over 30 or 40 as any older might contain like asbestos, lead, mercury, uranium or any combination of those four.
Oh wait, for a person? Yeah as long as it's not an unhealthy obsession then I truly don't see where age starts to matter. I've quite a collection myself, some old with lots of sentimental value, some just new and awesome.
Something to collect and enjoy like anything else - no age limit.
I love them and display them throughout my apartment tastefully (having one large display would feel too cluttered to me). For the sake of trying to get everything into one picture though, here's the stuffed animal clutter:

I don't think there is an age limit. I'm early 30s and have a fair-sized collection, although only a few are out on display. I sleep with a Jolteon plush on the nights my girlfriend isn't here.
You’re never too old for plushies. I have a few Animal Crossing and Super Mario ones, and if I had the room I would have more. They’re cute and fun to collect
I work at a rehab centre with a senior population (around age 65-100). Last Christmas we had Santa come to deliver plushies and everyone loved them so I’d say there’s no age limit
big agree with everyone here that there's no age limit. i'm not a huge collector, but i have my fair share for sure and i'm a firm believer in letting people enjoy anything they want to so long as it's not hurting anyone (or themselves). also like.. plushies are SO cute, how would one even resist them
As everyone else has said, you are never too old for plushies. I'm 43 and I still literally squeal in delight when I'm gifted a plushie. My grandmother bought and kept plushies her entire life and I expect that I will do the same. As long as they make me happy, I'll continue to collect them. And how could they not make me happy?! They're plushies!!!
I think people who say others are too old for plushies are sad and bitter people. My grandma once yelled at me for spending Christmas money on a rainbow alpaca plush, but I loved it! You're never too old to enjoy things, especially something so harmless and fun like stuffed plushies. I have maybe 70 plushies now.

Yeah my mom give eyes when I take home a new one, but mostly I collect because I like predominately corgi&dorgi dogs (i also have a platinum jubiliee bear, paddington bear, and a ty beanie baby bear commemorating the late Queen Elizabeth II so they are not too random either).
I do have a golden english cocker spaniel and an english springer spaniel, too.
I dont believe theres an age thats too old for teddies and stuff, I collect them @ 20 and tbh I just do it because they look cool. No shame in a Build A Bear

I'm middle aged (between 49 - 52) and I have a hoard of plushies. I have some AC, many shark plushies, Shin Godzilla, Gamera (kaiju), custom made zombie babies & many more. I don't think you can ever be too old for plushies. They just make us happy. (Just as long as you're not doing anything cringy with the plushies.)

Never! There’s this one YouTuber (who deserves valid criticism tbh), but people were criticizing her for “being childish” by having plushies on her bed. I thought it was ridiculous, especially since I’m the same age as her and also love stuffed animals. I still have a panda pillow pet in my room omg.
If you like something, you aren't too old for it. Simple as that.
I have my personal limit for collecting certain things...but everyone is different. I collect certain "toys" that fall under a more collectible umbrella...and there are plenty of things that I wouldn't personally collect. That said, I still don't judge anyone for collecting what they like.
