How would you react to this?

Is there an option C where you stop being friends with them? Because that's what I'd do. I could never be friends with anyone who didn't appreciate the emotional power of fiction.

wow, agreed.

if someone did this to me, it'd just make me feel worse

I cry at movies, usually when an animal dies/gets hurt cause I can't handle it. Anyone who doesn't get emotional from that is evil.

I cry a lot in movies, so probably B. I've never had anyone say that to me though, even if they don't feel the same way as me.

I always cry watching sad movies. Heck, sometimes comercials make me cry. I would probably get embarrassed being caught crying, then cry even more because I'm embarrassed. Lol.

Actually, I would choose the second option. Just because someone points out that it's fiction, won't make me not cry when I watch something sad.

This would never happen because I don't cry in front of people like that but in the hypothetical scenario it would probably just make me mad if my friend said something like that lol cuz 1) I know it's fiction and 2) it just seems like a rude and unnecessary thing to say to someone who's harmlessly enjoying the emotional impact of the story.

I cry at sad fiction all the time pbbfft.

I would immediately deadpan tell them a tale about someone close to them dying tragically and be like "here's some fiction for you" while hitting them on the head with any sad book.

I don't cry in movies but.. if I did I'd prolly feel embarrassed/annoyed but I wouldn't do something as silly as break them off from me..

I always try to hide it as much as I could so thankfully no one actually ever questioned it, also I usually don't watch tear inducing movies with my friends, sometimes I watch them alone but overly dramatic movies aren't my type to begin with

I cry pretty much during every Disney movie. I don't know why either, so I would have to go with B.
