:):):) -resets town and starts from 0- -SWEARS to stick to one town without any cheats or obsessive goals- -FAILS MISERABLY- :D:D:D -goes back into vulture seeking landscaping items- Has this happened to anyone else or am I just looking like a fool :D

this is so me. i did the same thing and ended up failing too. its hard to go back once you've already started the fun/quick stuff

Hey I mean if its in the game it can't be cheating right?
Not that I do it, but hacking is still part of the game, and that's the way people like to play.
They made it so you can give landscaping stuff to other people, so the game was intended to be that way. The point is to use strategy to build up your town, and trading with others is still a strategy!

Even time traveling, if it is considered "wrong," why is it included in the game? The villagers are even aware of it.
Just play the game how you want, build your town up using any strategy you need!
I like to call it creative thinking, not cheating ;)

Yep, I did this multiple times until I landed with Molokini. I like the town so much that I don't want to cheat now.

I don't do much except time travel. It isn't cheating to me, though, because a rumor about you among villagers is based around time traveling.

Rofl yes I feel your pain...it's too addicting to not want to micro manage haha

Happy Home Designer has been an asset when I feel compelled to speed things along.

I didn't time travel for the first month or two of my first town in New Leaf, but I caved in order to get a dreamy that I needed to boot a villager out for. It's always a spiral from then on. I eventually made another town and the same thing happened after four or five months, but I didn't really give a damn for the remainder of that town's life. As with the last town, boredom eventually set in after everything I wanted was at my fingertips.

I'm on my third town and I haven't touched it at all. When I'm bored, I pop out the cartridge and get my creative juices flowing with Happy Home Designer instead. It's an instantly gratifying Animal Crossing fix for me.

Not to sound like a commercial, but you know. I'm appreciative of the game, what can I say?

I tried to stop time traveling...

I'm time traveling right now v.v
You don't have to stop if that's how you like to play the game. Personally, I found out that it ruined the appeal. Everything felt less rewarding. But that's probably not the case for a good deal of people.

To be honest, time travel suits some players better. If it makes you happy, hey, go for it.

I kind of feel the same as you though; it's not as rewarding. But it's SO much easier xD and faster, and less annoying in some cases (like waiting until the next day for a house upgrade, ugh). I go back and forth between wanting to time travel and not wanting to at all x3
