I have a challenge for you- Can you pick your top 10 favourite villagers?

I'm not sure if this has being done before, but I wanted to challenge you all, and I call it a challenge, because there are just too many adorable villagers out there.
But- Can you name your top 10, most favourite, absolutely adore them villagers? Out of the 400? (i'm not sure how many there are exactly) villagers, I actually do have a top 10.

So, let me start this off with my top 10. I'm very curious to see other people's lists so please don't be shy!
You can give a description of why each villager is your favourite if you want!

1. Alfonso- Not really a surprise if you know me around here by now. But yes Alfonso is my number one, ultimate favourite villager. I won't go into why, because then I will be writing a whole novel.

2. Wolfgang- The best cranky by far. Also the best looking wolf, I dare you to change my mind.

3. Diana- An absolute queen. I have being attached to her for a while because I had her in New Leaf for the longest time.

4. Julian- This fabulous unicorn actually used to be further up the list. I think he suits the smug personality really well. I love him and the fact that he's the only unicorn in the game is pretty special. His house in ACNH is SPECTACULAR so, there's that.

5. Zucker- I love the lazy villagers and Zucker might just be one the cutest lazies ever. His design is perfect. I love everything about him, he's so precious.

6. Chai- The Cinnamoroll sanrio queen. She holds quite a special place in my heart, because she was the first sanrio villager I scanned into my New Leaf town. I never ever let her leave. We were besties in that town.

7. Rosie- Undeniably the best cat villager around. She is a peppy, and the peppies are a lot of work, but I love this superstar cat so much.

8. Skye- The second best wolf next to Wolfgang. I actually ship her and Wolfgang on my island xD. Skye is such a sweetheart and her pastel blue and white design is just chefs kiss. It took me 10 years to villager hunt for Skye, so she is never leaving my island and I never want her too.

9. Papi- Oop another lazy. I have put him further down the list though because I only just recently had him move onto my island. I never had him in New Leaf or anything. We are still bonding, but I do think he is really cute and the horses are so underappreciated. He deserves to be in my top 10 for sure.

10. Boots- OK, call me crazy but this little green jock man has made it into my top 10. I have quite a big soft spot for the alligators, and Boots used to live in my New Leaf town for literally ages. I think he was there for over a year. So I spent a lot of time with him and fell in love. He is a jock which is my least favourite personality. But I just look past that, because I think he's so cute XD.

Special mentions because there are just too many babies- Molly, Sherb, Audie, Bluebear, Ketchup, Sylvana, Goldie, Butch and Lily.

Sorry for such a lengthy post. I went into detail because I got nothing better do.
Anyway who are your top 10 villagers?

I want to say my own are my top 10 since I specifically chose them to live on my island, but I guess there are some that didn't make the cut simply because others fit better or happened to move in before.
I'll try to rank as many as I can.

1. Annalisa - I love anteaters IRL and in game. Her colors are my favorite colors, she is super adorable and her design combined with her normal personality make her give off a very elegant, yet a little shy and awkward vibe.

2. Chops - He is very unique and radiates a lot of personality. I was actually surprised that not only is he very posh, but the way his ears flop makes him quite cute as well.

3. Felicity - I originally picked her because I was torn between Olivia and Monique and didn't want both of them on my island. When I eventually chose Olivia, I thought Felicity would be somewhat of a compromise since she could easily be Monique's less glamouros little sister. She quickly became one of my favorites and it is hard to be believe that she was originally just second choice. I just enjoy her walking around, looking slightly awkward and then being very overly enthusiastic and confident the moment she talks.

4. Olaf - Another anteater. He has a very pretty tail, I like his eyelashes and the smug personality is probably my favorite when it comes to the male ones. On my island he also has a very cute relationship with Felicity which probably makes them both even more appealing to me.

Now it is getting a bit harder with the ranking ...

5. Either Gloria or Olivia - Both are very pretty and I chose them both based on the fact that I wanted classy looking villagers. I was very excited to get Olivia while Gloria was a bit of an afterthought, but recently Gloria has really grown on me while I don't seem to even see Olivia that often. Either way, they are both beautiful.

7. I kind of want to say Tabby, but there are a bunch of other villagers that I don't have any experience with that could easily make my top 10 - Monique, Pietro and perhaps even Skye could be strong contenders. There is also Pate who has a very special place in my heart.

My top 10 seem to somewhat change all the time. While Annalisa was always number 1, Cherry used to take second place for quite some time. Olivia also used to be much higher purely based on her design, but like I said, I don't seem to run into her that often so there are others that I'm more attached to.

this,,, feels like torture LOL. i have so many favourites but if i had to narrow it down, i think my top 10 would be (in no particular order);

1. beau - saying that i was obsessed with him during my new leaf days would be an understatement; he was my #1 for so, so long but even though i’m not that obsessed with him anymore, i still love him with all my heart.
2. tangy - the food-themed villagers are great in general but i’m extra fond of tangy as she was the very first villager that i met back in 2007 when i was introduced to ac :’) she’s adorable but if i have to tell just one more person not to eat her *cough* @NefariousKing *cough* i will have no choice but to go feral.
3. sprinkle - she’s literally perfect?? like i don’t think i’ll ever get over just how precious she is.
4. audie - i still remember seeing the first screenshot of her prior to the game’s release and immediately falling in love with her. she’s absolutely stunning and the meaning behind her name makes me love her even more.
5. rudy - i don’t like the jock villagers but i adore rudy - he’s so, so cute and i’ll never get over just how wonderful he is.
6. lolly - it’s probably pretty obvious by now that i like the cat villagers quite a bit but lolly is the loml and i can’t wait to have her on my island one day :’)
7. lucky - the most precious mummy i’ve ever seen.
8. goldie - i know a lot of people don’t like that her design is so basic but she’s perfect in my eyes
9. whitney - her beauty is unmatched; she’s so, so good and i love having her around!
10. kiki - she makes me think of my irl kitty and so she’s incredibly special to me because of that. plus, she’s so cute!

1) Tybalt - he's my best friend. Love him so much I bought a plush of him from etsy. Not got it yet but hype for when it does arrive.
2) Quillson - I just can't imagine the game without him at this point. He's the perfect smug.
3) Megan - the first normal I've ever fallen in love with. First bear I've ever liked.
4) Sherb - what can I say, he's adorable
5) Egbert - my soul animal.
6) Raymond - I had raymond. He left. I had raymond. He left. I have raymond. He's not leaving again. Clearly its meant to be. Or I'm in a dysfunction relationship.
7) Colton - my original favorite. My first ever amiibo I bought. Had him since my new leaf days.
8) Flip - everything I said about colton applies to flip. The 2 of them was my og jock smug pairing.
I still love them lots but it's not 2014 any more.

9 & 10) kidd and Kevin are the 2 characters I want on my island more than anything. I just can't without breaking all my rules on who I can have. I'm slowly caring less and less.

Oof, you've got some real cuties in there. I almost had Audie in my top 10 because of the meaning behind her name I also had her on my island for a bit and she's such a cutie.

I can relate to you with the villagers changing in my top 10. Papi wasn't even in there till he moved to my island recently. Lily actually used to be in his place because she is quite special too me. And like you with Annalisa, Alfonso will always remain at number one for me!

I don't think I can pick only ten favorites and feel content with it but I can try, I guess, for fun. Also, my list is unranked since mostly, favorites are all sort of the same level, except maybe Colton and Sterling.

Favorites: Colton, Sterling, Muffy, Reneigh, Ankha, Dom, Bam, Piper, Sherb, and Poppy.

There are no wolves on there though, and I like all the wolves. Dobie, Wolfgang, Freya...Skye, Audie. Wolves might be my favorite species in the game.

1. poppy - she's just a cute little squirrel, i would trust her with my life.
2. bianca - snow leopards are one of my favorite animals and bianca quickly grew on me because of it.
3. freya - actual queen, i love her so much she's so pretty and lovely, she's too good for me tbh. i like to imagine her and fang are an old married couple.
4. lolly - first animal crossing character i ever saw so she has a soft spot in my heart, her design's pretty appealing too.
5. fang - love this cranky dude, i like dressing him up as the local vampire.
6. filbert - my super dumb son, literal example of "no thoughts, head empty" and i love that for him.
7. molly - never understood all the hype for her until i got her on my island, i will protect her at all costs.
8. bam - best jock, him and filbert are empty brain bros, i love the little dots on the back of his head.
9. raymond - business cat gets a lot of love but i think he deserves it, i want more characters with different colored eyes.
10. celia - she looks... so kind and motherly and gentle. can't wait to get her on my island once agnes leaves.

1. Rolf - My favorite cranky/tiger villager of all time for many reasons and years now. If I need a cranky on my island, then he's the number one choice for me. Love this grumpy guy.

2. Rudy - Although I'm not a big fan of jocks, he's still one of my all-time favorite (cat) villagers. Just love that big smile of him.

3. Julian - At first, I didn't find him appealing at all, like back in New Leaf I even found him pretty overrated and didn't understand his popularity. But over the time, I started to like him more. I can see now why so many people like him.

4. Monique - One of my favorite snooty villagers, absolutely adore her look.

5. Frank - Became as of New Horizons a favorite of mine.

6. Apple - She's a cutie and also my favorite peppy villager.

7. Lopez - Next to Julian my favorite smug here.

8. Tiffany - Much like Monique, another snooty I like and adore for her design.

9. Hazel - There aren't many uchis I like, Hazel however is one of those I find the best.

10. Chelsea - Normally, I ignore normal villagers, as I find them kind of boring, but Chelsea is a exception. Probably also the one Sanrio villager I like the most out of the six.

The list is in no particular order. Most of the listed villagers lived on my old island before my Switch got broken. Once I have a new Switch along with a new island, I plan to get them all at some point.

I love your description for Filbert. I feel like my boy, Alfonso is also like that. Must be a lazy villager thing.

1. Fauna - She's just too cute and kind.
2. Marina - Another cutie in a somewhat unexpected way. Fell in love with her the first time I saw her in HHD.
3. Coco - I didn't really care much about her until she unexpectedly moved into my NL town and won me over with her kindness. She was my best friend in the game, always showing up at my house and complimenting my things.
4. Twiggy - At first I thought she was a cranky male, but picked her up off one of the first mystery islands and not only was her peppy personality a surprise, but she grew on me to be one of my favorites. I think she's the villager I have most of a connection with in NH.
5. Diana - A beautiful deer. Love her somewhat fantasy coloring. She's another one I also had in NL.
6. Zucker - Always liked his design, but now he's a favorite because he's been on my island the longest. Him and Marina are neighbors, but they're not as close as I wish them to be.
7. Chrissy - Love her cute design and personality. Another I had in NL as well.

Here it gets harder because there are tons that I love and are on a similar level...

8. Ruby - Love her albino moon rabbit theme. She's currently on my island and spent a lot of time on her house in HHD.
9. Cookie - Another pink peppy villager, but I just love her. Her nose is too cute.
10. Merry - Love her silly expressions and her coloring. Don't have her in NL or NH, buy maybe one day.

So many honorable mentions like Bunnie, Maple, Molly, Lolly, Lily, Butch, Lucky, Mint, Carmen, Julian.... plus about a dozen more that could easily be in the top 10.

I'm struggling to list a top 10 and I've typed out a list like 4 times because there's so many I love and it's constantly changing.
1 and 2 are the only ones I know for sure.

ohhh man, there are so many villagers that I like even though I've let a few of these move on and off my island as they please. off the top of my head I'd probably say:

♡ﾟ Ruby - my most precious AC friend. she was my first dreamie i ever had and when i finally met her in new leaf i was the happiest ; o ; we became besties, she lived right next to me and i loved it when she visited my house and i just couln't imagine the game without her, so i bought her amiibo when NH was released :'3

♡ﾟ Dotty - when i started playing WW i knew nothing about the game, but i definitely knew i wanted to meet a bunny in my town, so when Dotty moved in with her big eyes and her cute derpy smile i was soooo excited!! i didn't know about the personalities in the game, and i loved how cheerful Dotty was ^^

♡ﾟ Marshal - what can i say about Marshal, we all know why he's in this list! he's simply adorable and i love talking to him :3 i want to squeeze him!!

♡ﾟ Bob - one of the first villagers to move in my island, i quickly became a huge fun of Bob, cause he's so cute, so silly, so hilarious :3 i love cats and i wish Bob could come out of the game and play with my real cat, it would be so funny to see her reaction to him!

♡ﾟ Fang - i love Fang, he's precious and special to me, cause he reminds me of my dog who died almost 2 years ago now. I'm honestly really invested in my silly little fantasy that my dog is now in my island as Fang, that i often call him Bruno, my dog's name, instead of Fang. I used to not like him much cause he's kind of plain and doesn't look cranky, but ever since i noticed how his sweet eyes look like Bruno's...i love him

♡ﾟ Pekoe - i never saw her until my bf got her in his island and i was like omgosh she's so cute! she's really sweet, i love her pink details and her dialogue always revolves around our friendship, she always makes me smile and she's become one of my favorites :')

♡ﾟ Lolly - super sweet and timid kitty, she's a shy baby and she was one of the first dreamies i got when i started my island so she's been on Cinnabon from the start which makes her very special! her design is super adorable :3

♡ﾟ Genji -a mochi bunny!! how could i not love? he's the guardian of my island and i love talking to him. A lot of people hate jocks but i honestly find them really funny, and he often tells me that he wants to hang out and talk about the music i like, so it's really sweet ^^

these are my favorite villagers!! i know they're not 10, but i just couldn't decide for the other 2 cause i don't have someone im attached to as i am with the ones above ; o ; A few that come to mind are Molly, Kiki, Sprinkle, Apple, Cole, Flurry, Daisy, etc. We'll see who gets the last spots on Cinnabon

It really is hard to choose just ten when there are so many amazing villagers .

Most are penguins since they are my favorite species. I have most of them between my two islands. Except for Tangy, Molly and Lolly who I will find eventually.

Keep in mind that I love all these villagers, so even ones in lower ranks are very special to me. The difference in how much I like each villager is minimal, for example if I could, I'd put both Marshal and Judy in the #1 spot. The only one I don't have presently is Etoile, which isn't a matter of not having her amiibo card but instead me being unable to stand three Normals.
