Well, my dad downloaded LimeWire. It's a music and program sharing thing.

Depends on the file... some makers forbid backups, others don't.


If you were worried about legality you wouldn't be using limewire to download anything...

It's not illegal! If this was illegal, then the program would have been shut down, the site wouldn't exist, and everybody who works there would have been sued. Has this happened? No. Limewire is not illegal, only downloading things that you do not already own is illegal.

I know! The reason that programs like this get into trouble is because people obtain files illegally. God, I'm not a freaking 4 year old.

Yeah, they use SpyWare for their software, I forget what for. I've also heard that iTunes uses a form of SpyWare for their MiniStore and the Reccomendations.
