oooo I completely understand where you’re coming from!! i can see many people being turned off at dark/edgy/scary themes in Animal Crossing esp if they like viewing the game as a wholesome thing, or if it’s their comfort cozy game. I will say thought that I think many have also done a great job with the horror aspect! Don’t wanna discredit anyone for their own likes and creativity. I personally tried taking a dip at having minor horror themes back in my ACNL town, but things didnt really work out hehehe I’m just overall kinda bad at horror design
