Honestly, I think buying the DLC for $25 is just the smarter and more economical decision (at least for me), especially since my older brother––who I share a regular family plan with––still has his original N64 console and games. So, in my case, it's a win-win either way! And it would seem that the majority would agree that buying the DLC on its own is overall the better choice as well.

At this point, I don't think many of us would choose to get the dlc via NSO. I mean, it's a terrible deal. Even if you forget about pricing, having such an important content being held hostage by a subscription isn't exactly a good choice, especially when it comes to a game like Animal Crossing.

I already bought and redeemed my gift cards so as soon as Nintendo allows us to buy the content, I'm getting it. The only thing I would still like to know is the file size.

(I won't comment on the whole NSO+ thing because I see it s a separate product as the Animal Crossing dlc - which I see as an incentive for people to pay for the NSO expansion pack - and even though I could write almost an entire page about it, I won't)

Feel like the poll is displaying some bias. ;P
I'm getting it with the expansion pass. Purely because 7/8 slots in my family group will be playing the DLC so this is by far cheaper, and all likelihood is most of them won't be playing HHP after a year passes. So after a year, I'll pay for it if/when I next want to access the isles.

I don't know... I think I laid the options down pretty clearly in my first post. x)

And yeah - The family plan is a pretty good deal, as it can spit between 8 switches for 10 dollars each per year, and you get the extra legacy games and such for whoever wants it. If I had a family group, I'd pick that option, too - But I'm too much an independent soul. v.v

I already planned on getting the expansion pass for the N64 and Sega games so I'm probably just gonna get it through NSO. Two birds with one stone. 🙈

For sure buying to own. I'll pirate any old Nintendo game I can't reasonably get a physical copy of. Already think the membership I have isn't worth it quality wise, but I use online all the time :/

I'll justbuy it. I have zero interest in paying more for a subscription than I absolutely have to.

I'm going to pay the $25 to own it permanently. I don't have any interest in the other games included in the expanded online service.

I believe our family plan holder intends to update to the fancy plan, so ideally I should be getting access to it. If not, I'll just purchase it.

I will buy it outright, although I was tempted to share the new family plan with some friends because there was some interest among them about playing the game library. We ultimately decided it was likely we wouldn’t get much play time out of it, so I’ll just be buying the DLC for myself and keeping my original family plan!
