Hello!

As some of you know, I am into Spraypainting consoles
and controllers and I want to start a etsy shop for it,
but I am not quite sure what to sell..
I have some examples of how my work is looking here:
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Zaris Customs ✧・゚

Please help me to choose what I should sell, by voting for
the console you would mostlikely buy in custom colors!

Thank you

A gold shiny game cube would be nice, that or a gameboy

Well I love Nintendo 3DS's, but having a Wii custom controller would be awesome.

However for relevance I'd say the Switch controllers. Switch systems are still being bought, so there is still a demand for them. While I'm not doubting that there would be a die-hard fan out there who would buy an older custom console, I don't see it selling quickly as compared to a current console.

Sadly I have very bad experiences with 3DS's.. mine broke when I tried to replace the shell,
because it's very difficult to replace, especially when you don't have like really special tools :(
Mh, with Wii controller, do you mean the classic controller, or the remote with the nunchuk?

Also, yeah I think that would be one of the better solutions and I already have experience in customizing
something from the Switch, however the controllers are super expensive and I'm very stressed out
thinking to (mostlikely not, but can still happen) ruin something worth +100€ qwq
Or do you meant more like the pro controllers?

None. They're all outdated by over a decade. I've owned most of these consoles before and sold them off or simply thrown them away if they weren't worth much.

I'd like a custom painted 3DS. A nice simple shiny purple & black design.

Oh wow, okay.

3DS are really nice to do customs on, but sadly I always tend to break them.. q-q

I think JoyCons are a good idea :) I know that you can do JoyCons, and it's a very relevant controller right now with the popularity of the Switch. Otherwise maybe Xbox controllers? I'd be interested in that!

Hm.. I guess I will have to see if I can get some money to buy some JoyCons then.
Seem to be the best idea, for the reasons you said.
Xbox Controllers are a nice idea, actually! Do you mean more like the XBox 360 or XBox one?

wouldn't it be a better idea to do it on a per order basis that's completed by either either a) sending in their own console/casing or b) via shells sent off to the buyer upon completion?

It's something I've thought about as well, but it would be getting quite expensive with the shipping if
someone would be sending in their own console / casing and then sending back + my worktime, they
might as well get a whole console directly then, might be even cheaper.
Let's say someone sends a GBA SP from USA to France, it would be already around 25€ of shipping,
same back and then the worktime, so that would be 50€ of shipping + my worktime, let's say 20€ or so..
70€, I can give them a whole console for that price. /:

Then for the shells, it's a nice idea, but people often don't want to risk destroying their console / controller
to exchange the shell.. and there is for example, for the Nintendo 64 or GameCube it's insanely hard to get
shells. In general, from what I've found it's rare to find shells for consoles and controllers, except the GBA SP
for some reason. And if I find them, they are usually as much as a whole console.. >-<

It sounds like they're tricky to work with. That's a shame.

Yep! The main problem for me personally are the cable from the top screen that are connected to the bottom part.
They are very easy to break and you need to pull them through a very tiny hole with sharp pieces.
So that's usually where I break them. :(

I just read about those cables when I was reading about trying to fix the broken hinge on my husband's 3DS XL. A lot of the guides had you taking the whole 3DS apart and so many people commented about how easy those wires are to break. Luckily, I was able to fix the hinge without having to take it apart. The design of those cables and the hole they fit through is ridiculous!

Oh, lucky you that you managed to fix it like this!
Agreed, they should've really find a better design for this.

Luckily we didn't lose any of the pieces when the hinge broke off so I was able to figure out how they all fit together and once I got it reassembled we Super Glued the hinge in place. It has full range of motion so my hubby's pretty happy. lol!

I don't think they ever expected people to try to take the 3DS's apart but with the hinge ending up being such a weak point & it costing so much to pay to get it fixed people started trying to repair the hinges themselves.

Remote and nunchuk. Sure they're are -were- the squishy covers, but a custom painted one would be soo much more better.

I forgot about the new pro controllers. Those would be a cool thing to get done as well, if people use them like they do the joycons.

I really wanted the Pikachu 2DS XL for that lovely box art and the ultra cute console design, but by the time I was going to buy one, they had already sold them out over here and it was sold out online, too (excluding scalpers >_>) :c It would been soo perfect.

I also would've also really liked the limited edition, cyrstal clear colored 2DS consoles. Nintendo hardly ever does see through consoles. :c I liked the Pikachu and Venasuar ones, especially, but as always, they'd sold out everywhere, except for the scalpers who hoarded a bunch to sell at ridiculous prices online. >_>

I wouldn't mind a classic see-through game boy color, either, for those times the power goes out and you can use regular batteries to play.

Otherwise, I usually like an all light pink console, like the coral pink GBA. (a plus if it's light pink and clear)I don't like when Nintendo mixes colors like: half pink half white, or half red and half black. Why? :(
