Explanation: By outing your kingreads you can narrow down the kingmaker for mafia to find.
If I get kinged, not only does mafia know that I'm not the kingmaker, but mafia now knows that everyone who said "don't king shawo" is mafia.
So therefore the kingmaker is now forced to wifom a kingread with who they want to king.

I mean really, if you think about it, outing a kingread is basically the same thing as increasing the odds that PR dies, because kingmaker is just a VT right :')
with regards to aerious i wouldn't be too quick to mix up 'generating discussion' with just always having to have the last word on things and therefore responding to/furthering every conversation (this isn't a criticism on you j, love u) but yeah i kind of am in the same place rn ie. she's taking things that are brought up about people and then RUNNING with them to an extent that wasn't really to be expected from the way the things are introduced in the first place if ygm. definitely not a townread for me but also not a priority today
no dw, i don't take offense to anything said in maf (also hope the same for every1 here). was trying to generate as much discussion as possible because i thought i'd be nk'd early, but now i'm pretty certain i'll be spared to be framed later on unless maf wants to purge townies asap for wincon. i'm still trying to bring as much stuff as possible so there's references late game to compare to. whether you town or scumread me bc of it is ur opinion

flaw in your argument is that you're assuming that km isn't trying to hide in broad daylight. don't see any way of you being kinged unless you're not cc'd late game
But at the end of the day the kingmaker is irrelevant, there always be one and it will town, and if the choice of king is killed at night a random player will take the role. so even if they die, they get replaced.
Also if Player A KM chooses player B as king, and then Player A chooses player C as king, but dies at night, player B can become the new KM.
So by that logic, even if the KM is outted and it's killed, the role lives.
That's conflation. Just because a FEW players can wifom, doesn't mean that ALL players will.
You're conflating the concept that there are players who would wifom as KM, with the concept that all players would wifom as KM. I would say that there are probably like 5 people at this table who would wifom as KM.
All it takes is just a little bit of reading to narrow it down from 5 people to 1 or 2. With kingreads easily sorting out the other 10.
But hey what do I know.
All it takes is one super wild king that no one expects.
Each Night, the Kingmaker will select a main and a backup choice for King for the next day. Should the main choice die that Night, the backup will serve as King. No player can be chosen two days in a row until three players remain. The kingmaker cannot chose themselves as king.
-If the Kingmaker is killed, a random vanilla townie will be selected to be the new kingmaker -No one can claim to be selecting the king for the next phase. But claiming to be KM is allowed. -A KM is essentially a vanilla townie
the only person out of the running for km is volt. km can still say "don't king x" to wifom because it's not directly against dan's rules. what IS against the rules is someone saying "i'm kinging volt tomorrow" to confirm that they're the km
I thought about what would I do in this situation, and it would be acting pro-town while gently keep pushing the pr discussion mess and cake fits that criteria
