Do the Villagers eventually stop acting as though you’re harassing them for company?

While it initially took me by surprise, that behavior at least made sense within the first few days of getting to know them. Now though—two weeks and a built friendship later—it’s annoying and feels vaguely uncomfortable. Regardless of personality, they make a comment along those lines every time past the first interaction of the day!

irl I’m a confident extrovert, but it’s almost like I’m developing some ingame form of social anxiety. I don’t understand why it has to be so frequent and ongoing, and really hope there’s an end to it eventually. Even the sweeter, more toned-down comments carry some underlying judgement.

Must we really practice social distancing on our Islands too? ;ェ;

I personally feel like it goes away after getting to know a villager a bit better. It happens every once in a while but I don't notice it as often with villagers who I know better and have higher friendship levels with.

I certainly hope this goes away! Ken is one of my favorite villagers and today is his first real day on my Island and when I talked to him he kept saying something like, "that's the last straw, I'm hiring a publicist". Ouch. I'm just trying to make friends! :(

I think it changes when you reach a certain level. I have a jock who started changing what he says to along the lines of he was expecting me to come over and talk now instead of the usual I’ve seen you so many times today. But that was after he gave me a nickname and gave me loads of stuff and played several treasure hunts with me.
