Is it possible for your first campsite visitor to be any Smug villager?

Following my starting villager thread is this thread, which will discuss on if it’s possible to have any Smug villager as your first villager to appear in your campsite. I know you’re guaranteed to have a smug villager be your very first campsite animal, but I want to know if any of the 34 smugs in the game can be your first one you find in your island’s campsite.

The campsite has 50% rolling for a personality you don't have otherwise you get repeat personality. I seen people say they gotten normals as their first camper and other people got crankies. So the first camper smug isn't guaranteed.

I don't think the mechanics of the campsite will suddenly switch after your first camper and it's the same all the time.

I don't think the mechanics of the campsite will suddenly switch after your first camper and it's the same all the time.

For the first camper, a non-Smug villager is almost certainly a glitch; the first camper is intended to be Smug. The camper has one unique set of dialogue that specifically fits the Smug personality. And in the English version, the initial dialogue from Nook/Isabelle uses they/them to refer to the camper which always switches to he/him once you meet the camper, even if the bug gives a female camper. Here's a post with pictures that show the encounter.

I remember seeing some polls on what personality people got as their first camper, and I remember it being around ~90% Smug (maybe even a bit higher?), and the remainder being any other personality. So Smug isn't guaranteed, but that's only due to an fairly uncommon bug; I don't think anyone ever figured out what the cause of the bug is.

Essentially, the first 6 villagers all have a set order for personalities, with the first camper having a special routine. It's the same as how the Mystery Islands give you Normal/Peppy/Lazy villagers at the start and switches later. After the first camper, the campsite starts using its normal routine with ~60% of getting a missing personality.

Edit: Yeah, here's one of the polls I found. 91% had a Smug camper.

My first camper was Ed. I really hated him at first, but now I feel bad about it because there are a lot worse villagers than him. He has a great house at the very least, and even displays his own framed photo lol.

I read online that the first visitor is guaranteed to be smug.
