I hate face emojis. They’re so obnoxious looking. They’ll never replace emoticons or smileys in my heart.

I love object emojis though. It’s very funny how they’ve ‘emojified’ so many things, from blue circles to yams to creepy death moon trying to stare you down

I hate when people use an emogie in every sentence and/or spam emogies at the end. It just bothers me so, so much, for being such a small thing. I see it so often on twitter like stop. It's not cute.

Omg I just had the BEST DAY☺ My BF and I went out for ice cream and we saw a cat and *just more annoying stuff then a keyboard smash of emogies at the end*

Like that^. Ignoring the weird contents of it, I just randomly thought of how some uwu owo people would use it as.

Also THIS I've seen so many people use it to say somethin so stupid and wrong while acting like they're correct on their high horse. I associate it with being petty.

Mine has to be most people emojis. Some ios emojis are great but others are downright DISTURBING. I also wish tbt wouldnt emojify : ) and : D because I love them.

when people post the skin tone large circles/squares after random emojis?? I get it might be to address people with different ethnicity, but just post the actual emoji with right tones and not just the squares/circles

and stuff. Bit hard to show of here since you can't change skin tone from the emoji tab but yeah just post the actual emojis with the right tones.

when i was younger i hated all face emojis because i thought they were very ugly and MUCH preferred text emoticons.... and i still do think they're ugly! but i like a small amount of them now even with their ugliness :] i definitely do NOT use them for their intended purpose though lol

but the ones that BUG ME... i hate uwu and it being used 100% seriously in convos rubs me wrong a LOT for some reason. and these being used sincerely just confuse me cuz they look so angry inside. also this isn't a pet peeve but i do get the feeling with people who use a lot of the face emojis that they are probably out of my circle but not in a bad way!

Not really a pet peeve more of a "what does this mean and why do i keep seeing it" with regards to the emoji? W-what emotion is this

Also less about the usage and more about the way it looks but colon + "p" has so much more nuance than like,, bro that isn't what i wanted (also i can't even type it without it being transformed into automatically but OH is pretty close this is an amazing discovery)

I hate when people use the emoji to represent how dead they are from laughing. Like, obviously it's an exaggeration but sometimes I just feel mocked when people use it for some reason.

That and when people use the thumbs up, just feels like a massive '(o)k' to me, lol.

Not really bothered by them at all. BUT...it also depends on the emoji set. This forum actually has a nice set of emojis. I don't mind them at all. In some other corners of the internet, there are emoji sets that look like garbage. I do have a friend who hates the emoji, though. (I go out of my way to use it whenever possible...as any good friend would). Lol.

As long as you aren't using emojis in place of words, it doesn't super bother me. But when I have to read emojis and try to guess what they mean in the sentence, that's frustrating. I usually use them at the end of sentences to convey tone when I'm texting. This is especially true if I'm worried the sentence sounds too direct without a smiley.

I don’t really mind pre-made emoji uses that I can think of, but I am definitely starting to get weary of uwu and owo as it is everywhere and it’s hard for me not to read it as a word so it’s kind of annoying.

The only thing that bothers me with emojis is when people put multiple of the same laughing emoji to convey laughter. One is just fine.

Emojis don’t bother me usually. I did read some stuff on twitter by some asian VAs about people using yellow squares as responses. Now that disgusts me. I also don’t appreciate the emoji if I’m not trying to be funny. To me, it depends how the emoji is used.

I do admit I don’t like the lips emojis, but if my friends use it, it honestly doesn’t bother me. In fact, I helps me know how they are feeling when they say something or understand the tone they are using. (so friends, don’t stop using it just because i said i don’t like them and keep being yourselves )

the : ) emoticon makes me irrationally annoyed. especially if it's used in an argument.

i used to hate the xD specifically b/c the lowercase x looked wrong, but now i'm fine with it.

also it's funny seeing people respond with the pleading emoji, b/c that ones my favorite.
