Whenever I text my sister anything, she always sends me a whale emoji lol

I send her a snail, and we both kinda go back and fourth. But the whale emoji slightly annoys me because its preventing my sister, from sending me guneapig photos lol

honestly the emojis don't bother me. I mean there are people who exist who I think use them excessively. I would guess that is the only thing that I am bothered about with emojis.

Emojis don't really bother me. I, myself use them sometimes.

The closest usage that I can maybe find annoying would be if every single word is followed by one, otherwise, like someone else posted, I just glance through the words typed.

i absolutely cannot stand the emoji. the energy that often surrounds its use is just kinda... gross to me lmao. that might feel like a weird thing to say but i can't think of another way to describe the feeling.
and especially when it's paired with like i really really hate that lol

i guess because i typically see them used by people who don't want to outright ask for something / are expecting you to just like, drop it in their lap without them having to ask and i don't like it when people won't just come out and be direct with me? idk that behavior feels sort of passive-aggressive or manipulative to me and i'm not here for it lol. just say what you're gonna say to me directly, or don't say it at all.

I used to not like using emojis at all, but from both people getting confused with emoticons and me wanting to not look like a weeb, I tend to use emojis now. Not always, but I've started converting.

I like the heart emoji but there have been times where it has creeped me out with how I’ve seen some people (like on twitter) use it. I avoid using it much unless I really feel like my message needs the heart for emphasis, or when it is on here for people that I’m friends with or am well acquainted enough to help express sincerity and sympathy. sometimes when I see it used, I see no sincerity behind it or it just feels a bit odd. Then again, I may be over thinking things.

I cannot stand when people put '' emoji around a word, especially when they say "not the ___" or "it's the ___ for me"

the only emoji I don't like is the emoji. I don't mind it if its used along with a sentence, but when it's by itself I feel like it's a lazy reply where the other person cannot be bothered. Both my previous boss and current boss are notorious for using it to reply to my texts and it's so annoying!!
