We were at the gyroid exhibition gallery above the cafe. I guess I did the right thing to refrain from telling Peggy about how the gyroids are based on ancient Japanese terracotta figures that were buried with the dead to protect and hold their souls?

Joey gets pretty dark thoughts. He just hides them really well on most days.

I built Cookie a vacation home today. It has a simple and cheerful red-and-white decor.

Back on Littlestar, Marshal was thinking again. He does this a lot. I make sure to not disturb him when he's thinking.

Maelle (she of the gorgeous red bob) wanted an exclusive boutique to promote her favourite brands.

In other news, it's February 1. Only two weeks to Valentine's Day, Raymond said. I'm not one to celebrate at all, so this is all Raymond's idea, not mine. Expect more corny Valentine cards—featuring the islanders of Littlestar—to come. Concept, props, pictures, design, everything. It's all Raymond. I have nothing to do with this!

Fuchsia fell asleep with her sandwich in her hand. While sitting on the cold bare ground.

WE DID IT! FOUND A WHISTLOID AT LAST! MY GYROID COLLECTION IS NOW COMPLETE!

This is Raymond's contribution today. He says he's put in a lot of work coming up with these Valentine cards and hopes your admiration for his creative prowess is increasing by leaps and bounds every single day.

We have a meteor shower tonight. I always enjoy watching and wishing on the shooting stars. Even though I don't need the star fragments anymore.

Built Cole a vacation home. Kept it simple.

I have no idea where or how Raymond got the gold bars for Marlo's photoshoot. I don't want to know either.

My resident smugs were totally in sync doing their workout. It was fun to watch. (To this day I can't choose between Raymond and Marshal. I find them both equally, irresistibly adorable.)

Even when a pretty snowflake floated by, they were distracted at the same time.

And here's today's Valentine card from Raymond. (He said Wendy was a natural in front of the camera, just like he's a natural with all manner of puns.)

Gave Marlo's house on my island a makeover. It's a resort look. I know he can't completely cut himself off from work and stay sane so I did leave a fax machine by the bed.

Today's Valentine card from Raymond features the sweet-tempered, book-loving Sylvana.

It was snowing very heavily outside. So I spent the morning at the Roost. I love coffee. Even when it's virtual.

A little mochaccino Sylvana came to visit. I think her favourite room is the library. It's mine, too.

Raymond said his Valentine card today is titled "Confession". I told him that was a stroke of genius.

I'm pretty amazed that, after playing this game for almost two years, I'm still learning new DIYs! (Another perspective would be, well, I've had terrible luck. I know the vine crown is "new" but there are also old DIYs I've yet to learn.)

And on the eve of Valentine's Day, here's Raymond's card for the day. Featuring Raymond. Again. Actually, again-again. Well, it's perfectly okay. He's the one putting in the effort and making all these cards. I'm not complaining. No one's playing favourites.

It's Valentine's Day and my mailbox was packed with cards and gifts from my islanders! I have 3 smug, 2 lazy and 2 cranky animals and none of the letters was a duplicate. Very nice of the game to do this.

And this is the last card from Raymond's little Valentine project. (He said they called themselves the Fab Four for this photoshoot. ) I thanked Raymond for his time and effort. He said it'd been an absolute pleasure. Everyone had a lot of fun.

Zoe gets a vacation home! I used the smallest room size and a tropical island theme. I like the challenge of decorating small spaces to look vibrant and interesting.

In a less tropical clime, a little squirrel is determined to emerge from winter ready-for-the-catwalk svelte.

Unlike Marshal, I don't think about the future. Or the past. I prefer to live in the present as much as possible. After all, the present is where I tend to be, well, all the time!
