It's A Little Early, But What's Your Favorite Thing About The Holidays?

My favorite thing is it being a day closer to over. I hate snow, which it does in 90% of the states. My anxiety always goes up in the winter, which is why I stick to warmer climates in the winter until I can relocate to one permanently.

I guess I like my birthday because I get tons of gift cards, but that’s about it. I wish it was over.

all the decorations, definitely. my family and i don’t really celebrate the holidays anymore (though i still love them), but christmas decorations still make me so happy! all the gorgeous lights in different colours and shapes, all the inflatables, wreaths, christmas trees etc. i love walking around malls and stores just to see all the decorations put up (plus i love how bustling this time of year is <3), and every december, my mom and i go for at least one drive just to see people’s decorated yards and houses. it’s such a magical time of year. 🌟

my mom actually ordered a christmas tree poster that lights up from etsy this year! we don’t want to get an actual tree because our cat would 1000% knock it down, but i’m just excited to have any sort of tree at all!

I love the decorations and being with my family!!! Its so fun in fall for Halloween/Thanksgiving and Christmas is super cozy!! Its so nice being with my favorite people!!💚💚💚💚💚 (ALSO MY BIRTHDAY IS DECEMBER 6TH SO YAY)

Food! Like panettone, donuts, gravlax, cheese and plenty of fancy food I usually don't eat the rest of the year.
I also like looking at everybody lights and decorations in the street.

I (sorta) celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas, though not as much as I did as a kid.

Fave thing is absolutely the food.

My favorite thing is seeing my niece and nephews if they come visit for the holidays. We don't see them every year (at least not around the holidays), but when they do come I'm always happy because I love spending time with them.

I also love the time off work.

Aside from what others mentioned, my favorite part of the holidays is the weather! All of them are in Fall and Winter, so where I'm at it's nice, cool, and rainy. During those rare years where it snows right on Christmas, it's magical.

The food but especially a peppermint mocha from Starbucks. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I always like a peppermint mocha (or hot chocolate if I’m not in the mood for it

I like the food and holiday specials on TV tbh. Also, as corny as it is, I love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Oh, and movies! My personal favorite holiday movies are:
—Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (Thanksgiving)
—National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
—Christmas in Connecticut
—Miracle on 34th Street (the old version)
—Elf
—A Christmas Carol (1938 version)
—White Christmas
—Jingle All the Way

For me, I get some time off work, so the holidays allow me to slow down and spend time with family I don’t normally see, which is really nice. I also like the decorations, especially lights (I always make sure tons are on my Christmas tree!), and the cooler weather encourages me to bundle myself in comfy clothes and blankets

Aside from getting a few days off work and my sister being in town... is it sad if I say one of my favourite things about the holidays is the tbt event?

No school! Also my family always has a Christmas party every year with so much good food 😋. It's also very fun to see all my family!

Quite literally nothing. Now that I'm an adult, they're just an annoyance and have lost any of the charm they used to have for me.

Multiple things. Don't make me choose!!
- Setting up and decorating a tree (even if it's a small, fake tree)
- The way the X-mas lights look at nighttime
- X-mas music (YEAH, YOU HEARD ME! I ENJOY X-MAS MUSIC; FIGHT ME)
- Baking and decorating X-mas cookies (my late grandmother's recipe)
- Giving my favorite people gifts
- Food on X-mas day... but only if it's good food
- An excuse to watch Home Alone 1 & 2
- Can't enjoy this anymore ever since I moved away from the northern-ish part of the northern hemisphere, but: snow, and the way X-mas lights look underneath a fresh blanket of snow
