I think the fact that he's a sparkly desu unicorn is all it takes to make him popular. I personally don't mind him. He was the first villager to move in my old town and I kept him until I restarted. :T

Julian's cool. If he was in my campsite I'd let him in. I thought you could get villagers from other campsites but it's very difficult. If that's the case then it's sad that people let villagers like Marshal go into the vortex when someone really wants them out there.

It's just as dumb as if we were to mock people who had "unpopular" ones.

I'd probably use him to trade for other villagers. I do like my share of 'popular' villagers, but Julian isn't one of them.

There's nothing wrong with not liking certain animals (literally everyone does it), but people who act like they're special snowflakes for not wanting popular animals make me laugh. Like congrats.. you're acting like a child because you want to pretend your 'oh so different' for not liking a certain animal. Do you want a cookie or something? -eye roll-

Nothin' against the OP personally, but yeah. Liking or not liking something doesn't make you special, and acting like you are just makes you an attention seeker.

I really like Julian. I thought he was overrated and I didn't like him at all at first, but the more I saw him everywhere, and the more frequently I came across Julian fan art, I actually started to like him. He grew on me. You have to admit, he's pretty unique. But, then again, so is every other villager. I like him because his colors, his personality, and his eyes. They're freaking closed. I don't know why but I think that's the coolest thing. I also ship him and Colton together, so. Eventually I'd love to have both in my town.

But power to you, bro. Not doing what everyone else is doing. Screw peer pressure. >

So far since having my campsite a MONTH, I've had about 5 villagers pass through. No exaggeration. All terrible villagers that I'd never seen before even after playing 3 different ACs. Lucha was last week. Today I got Canberra. Yup. Feel sorry for me.
