Rare in the blue shaking trees unfortunately. Specifically found in these areas:
Obsidian Fieldlands: Heartwood
Crimson Mirelands: Gapejaw Bog
Coronet Highlands: Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, Primeval Grotto

I did not buy this game because for 1 I do not play Pokemon much, two the games graphics are.... interesting for 2022, and 3 THEY DONT HAVE MY FAVORITES EXCEPT SYLVEON AND COMBEE. WHERE IS NORMAL LOOKING LILLIGANT AND BOUNSWEET/STEENEE/TSAREENA OR EVEN SHIINOTIC :( Like at this point its just them being lazy. LIKE STOP CREATING NEW ONES IF YOU CANT EVEN KEEP UP WITH THE OLD ONES GAMEFREAK 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Literally some of the 3DS pokemon games have 800+ pokemons.....

Thank you. Will just keep trying . Maybe will have better luck when I reach the Coronet Highlands.

I'm in the Icelands now and have finally completed my main team. My next step will be calming the noble of the area. Hopefully tonight I'll finally have some time to play again.

I randomly came across an alpha Scyther in the Obsidian Fieldlands while I was working on completing my Pokedex entry for Scyther and was able to catch it! :D

Next Alpha I want to catch is that Tangrowth in the Crimson Mirelands, I've been having trouble catching it, my team is around level 30 and it's level 45

Made it to the 4 star rank, beat Ursaluna, caught an alpha Rhyhorn and have been exploring a lot of the Crimson Mirelands, made it to the Brava Arena but haven't battled lilligant yet. This game is so addictive

Just finished the game by beating god.

I really don't know why they put the ending after the festival when the main stuff happens after it.
Like even the reveal happens after the credits, that's just weird.

I concur. There should be a festival after the god fight

Congratulations on beating the game!

It's like, every time I sit down and play a session of this game I'm bound to find a random shiny 🤣✨ I'm not even trying to find shinies, I never have in all the years I've been playing Pokemon. If I find one I find one, that's pretty much it. Whether it's a mass outbreak spawn or just a random spawn out in the field, I've been getting really lucky as of late.

Like right now, I just caught a shiny Togepi at Cottonsedge Prairie. Does this mean I'm doubly blessed with luck AND happiness? 😍🙏🏾✨ too bad it's a lame shiny lol

Anyone else gotten this much luck finding shinies?

Nice shiny togepi! 🤩

I had some days where I found a couple in a row and one I wasn’t trying. The minute I reloaded my game I heard that shiny sound (it was a shiny zubat).

I honestly got myself burnt out from shiny farming 😅. I’m trying to get shinies of my favorites first. :) I hope to get some multiples since I saw something someone did on twitter that I thought was a fun idea; they gave an npc a shiny pokemon that they weren’t ever going to use. i think that’d be fun to see shiny pokemon or alphas throughout the village from doing requests.

Thank you! 💞 I have to say shiny Zubat and Golbat look great!! Crobat...not so much imo 😅😝

It'd be awesome to catch a shiny alpha one day for sure 🤞🏾 but in my entire history of playing Pokemon I've never ever been fortunate enough to get a shiny starter or legendary. But I did attempt to soft reset for a shiny Bulbasaur in Fire Red a couple years ago but I gave up after a few days. I don't have the patience 😬😵

That would be fun, yeah!! 🤩

That’s a shame!

I had no idea you could do that with the old games, but yeah, I have no patience either 😅.

Has anyone here caught a shiny alpha yet? 👀 I would love a shinx shiny alpha (though any shiny alpha would be nice) ☺️. I do have a shiny regular shinx and i love how it looks; now to get the right trait mint.

Congrats on the shiny Togepi . I have no luck with shines. I will keep trying to find some.

I began to think about this the other night, but I started to contemplate how this game allows you to encounter and catch Pokémon, and I realized that it truly is nothing new to the formula. It's how these mechanics are executed in PLA compared to some of the other installments that makes all the difference. There are 2 methods to encountering/capturing Pokémon. Method 1 is the traditional battle where you weaken the Pokémon then throw a Poké Ball in the hopes of capturing them. Here, it's your partner Pokémon vs. the wild Pokémon. This method is what we all grew up with and are most familiar with, but did you know that with method 2, you're basically utilizing the mechanics introduced in the Safari Zone? It's very similar to some of the past games where the Safari Zone is available to explore (Red/Blue, Ruby/Sapphire, the Great Marsh in DP and so on) and here, it's you vs. the wild Pokémon.

You throw bait (berries, cake lures, etc.) to attract the Pokémon and keep them from fleeing and you throw a rock/mud (sticky globs, etc.) to stun the Pokémon, but the key difference in PLA is that stunning them does not "anger" them and therefore making it more likely that the Pokémon flee. In PLA, encounters are seamless, instantaneous and much more immersive because there are no borders and no transitions between "battle mode" and "overworld mode". You the player are part of the environment and the world around you is dynamic. The Pokémon themselves are "alive and aware" even during battle: they turn and move about, they look at you and react to certain stimuli such as getting hit by a move, knocking out one of your partners and so on. The world in PLA is in constant motion. Even during battles you can see that time is going by and weather is dynamic. It could start raining or fog could envelop the surroundings, and weather effects happen all on their own. This in itself isn't new. Some routes in the older games do have dynamic weather, such as route 120 in RSE with its rain and the desert routes in DPPt with the sandstorms, but the difference in PLA is that weather is not already predetermined in one area. Weather can happen ANYWHERE.

Sorry if this is nothing new or special but I just really love thinking about stuff like this and I wanted to share my thoughts. My trainer class is "Super Nerd" 🤓 with a lot a little bit of "Poké Maniac" 😬 so again please excuse the wall of text.
