Pokémon Legends Arceus General Discussion

I've gotten 2 completely random shinies in the game so far. Neither were from mass outbreaks either. They were Bidoof and Magikarp. I'm pretty sure I had a complete entry for Bidoof when I found it, but I know for a fact I had yet to even catch a Magikarp yet as I was literally going to find some to catch my first one when the shiny popped up.

Wait...you can release all six Pokemon from their balls and just have them chill like that?

Well...I have learned something new today. Lol
It's a pretty cool feature. Yes, they like to chill and doze off. I really wish we could pet them and give them berries while they are out their balls.

When I collect berries, iron chunks and tumblestones I usually throw out as many Pokemon as possible to speed up the collection process. I believe that is I how I came to the notion of seeing if all 6 of my Pokemon could be released at the same time.

I also caught a shiny Bidoof! Other shinies that I caught before I obtained the shiny charm were Luxio, two Carnivines, two Bibarels, Kricketot, Haunter, Pickachu, and an Aipom. Pachirisu is the only Pokemon that I caught after I received my shiny charm. The Pachirisu appeared in the field while I was on my way to a massive mass outbreak. Never found I shiny in a massive outbreak and/or massive mass outbreak. They all appeared randomly on the map when I least expected it.

I finally tiered my favourite starters which includes the Hisuian forms! I love Hisuian Typhlosion and Samurott..but I think Alolan Decidueye is better. My boy Greninja who is still MIA is my top fave.

Well I caught all the pokemon and battled Arceus so the game is done for me. I have that lost feeling after I finish a game.
I still haven't even defeated Volo yet. The game is pretty much over once you've gone through the post game. There's no way I'm starting a new game so I'm trying to extend it out. Just caught two Alpha Quilavas that were Timid and Modest. I also have a feeling GF won't be kind with the trade evos next game so I'm trying to get as many as possible. Still waiting for Home compatibilty too...

I just got to the 5th star rank and made it to the area where the frenzied noble Electrode is, haven't taken it on yet though, have just been working on getting to the 5th star rank for the past 2 hours and finally got there :)

No Close Combat Scizor or Moonblast Togekiss in other Gen 8 games..too bad. I really hope Frostbite and Drowsy for future games though.

Taken from Serebii.net:
"The moves that Pokémon can learn in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon Sword, and Pokémon Shield differ from those that they can learn in other games, so a Pokémon’s moves will not be reflected when it is transferred to another game. When a Pokémon is taken to another game for the first time, the moves it can use will be determined by its level.
If a Pokémon is brought from the game it was caught into another game and learns other moves, and is then brought back to the game it was caught in, it will go back to having the moves that it originally knew

I haven't played this game, but out of curiosity I watched some videos of it on YouTube. I was confused by Professor Laventon's hat at first (thought it was a man-bun lol), and thought the scenery reminded me of BOTW.

Also I thought the lack of voice-acting was weird. Idk why...just a little thing that stood out to me. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, the lack of VA in SwSh also severely diminished the experience in that game as well. I'm wondering what GF's deal is with not having VAs? Maybe some sort of budget constraint issue from the higher ups.

Lowkey want to go shiny gliding again, but I haven't played in a couple months. The controls are clunky enough that I bet I forgot how to play. That'll be fun! The last one I got was a Gliscor. He's my buddy now.

Legends and BDSP are now HOME compatible! HOME Research tasks for Legends and BDSP are also are up and running!
Woohoo!

I hope they fix the Spinda and Nincada issues soon though 🥺 But I’m so happy to finally add some missing mons to my collection on HOME!

Just brought up all the new Pokémon and new forms from Legends to Home. I’m glad they can finally join the rest of my crew. 905 is the new total Pokémon in the National Dex whew. Next gen or so we will definitely hit 1000 total.

Also neat things to note about the latest Home update. Shaymin can now be despoited in its Sky form without reverting (still reverts back in gen 6/7 when put in bank) but doesn’t when put in Home from BDSP/Legends. Also on the contrary, the new Dialga and Palkia Origin forms do revert when despoited just like Giratina always has (and still does).

I made it to the arena where avvalugg (sp?) is, haven’t taken it on yet, still need to level up my Pokémon more. I spent about two hours just exploring tonight since I now have the hisuian braviary I can use to fly around. I’ve been working on my Pokédex.
