List of Villagers Based on Popularity

Filbert should be in tier 3. I have seen him on a lot of dreamie lists lately and he has been going for 2-3 million. That's more bells than most others tier 4's get. Also, I have some constructive criticism. How about like once a week you have a day where people can vote if a villager should move up or down and whichever gets the most votes (1 villager moving up and 1 villager moving down) will move up or down, in addition to your opinion.

Maybe choose from like 5 to 10 villagers for moving up and 5 to 10 villagers for moving down.Filly will probably be moving next update

Oh and also, you should split 5 into 5 and 6 because 5 is pretty big.

Yeah but I feel that goes for basically all villagers in the tier.. They will sometimes get taken just to see what they're like, or someone likes an unpopular villager..
I'll consider adding a tier 6 in the future, but for now, I'm gonna leave it as is because most of the villagers have similar levels of popularity.

Enough arguing. This thread is used as a reference; it is subject to change and those who use it should take into consideration their own feelings about a villager as we all have different favored villagers. This thread is based only on TBT villager popularity so the villagers you see as most popular on TBT may be different from other Animal Crossing websites.

I think Chadder should go up to Tier 4 because I've seen him around here a lot more. He's everywhere these days and he's liked by more people than in most of the ones in Tier 5. This might not be a very valid reason, but it's just a thought.

Chadder's an interesting one.. I'm considering bumping him up but I need to see him a little more.. Unfortunately the "he's quite well-liked" reason doesn't equate to popularity.. As I've mentioned in the past, some villagers like Phil, Joey and Sydney are generally very well-liked, but they aren't popular 'cos they're shunned aside by others
But I'll keep an eye on Chadder

Thanks, I was trying to find the words. He gets snatched up quicker than most other Tier 5's do. Chadder...well... he's a mouse. Hound00med, what's your formula of determining whether a villager is popular or not? Do you prioritize the price, the appearances in trades, or what? I think there should be a formula to make the list more accurate ( though I already find it quite precise ) - though it may take a lot of research xP

While it would be an idea to see exactly how often a villager gets traded, taken form cycling threads and what have you.. But I just don't have the time for that..
I simply gauge it by roughly how many times I see them being traded, being auctioned (and people actually bidding), how often they're taken in cycling threads, and how often I see them in dream teams..
It's not the most accurate, which is why the disclaimer is there
I'm open to more research, but I don't want it taking up all my time just for something that is getting by just fine as it is

Chadder is one of my favorites! He moved into my town day one and I loved that he was a cheese mouse with a name like cheese. I tried to give him cheese walls and floors, but he would not put them in his house! <3
I cant wait to have him, i really dislike most of the mice, but he is soooo cute
Well in this game the #1 thing that seems to make a villager popular, at least on these forums, is cuteness. If I were to guess I would say a lot of ppl don't find him cute which is why he's not higher. I honestly don't know tho.
