How it Works
You will be writing your own winter holiday themed limerick. You can be as witty as you'd like, in fact, it's encouraged! You may write about the winter season and/or its activities or your favorite winter holiday and/or its activities, don't forget you can also choose to include your favorite villager from Animal Crossing. Get creative with these!
How to Submit
- Post your limerick, by itself, directly to this thread. In other words, please be sure that you are not quoting someone else while you post your limerick or it may be overlooked
- Entries will be periodically reviewed and accepted entries will be marked with the 'Accepted' reaction.
Rules
- All entries must be original, no copying from someone else or submitting something you found off the internet.
- It must be related to the Winter or Holiday Seasons (any winter holiday, or winter/holiday activity).
- All Limericks must be five lines, follow AABBA rhyme form, and contain the recommended amount of syllables for each line.
- Line 1, Line 2, and Line 5 should all rhyme with each other and contain the same amount of syllables (between 7-10 syllables).
- Line 3 and Line 4 should rhyme with each other and contain the same amount of syllables (between 5 and 7 syllables).
- Limericks should only be one stanza; limericks of multiple stanza will be disqualified and a moderator will reach out to you for a resubmission.
- Only one entry is allowed per person.

Q: I don't understand what "AABBA rhyme form", can you help?
A: This just means that the first, second, and last lines should rhyme together while the third and fourth lines rhyme together.
Q: Can my first line for example, have 10 syllables but my second line have 7 and fifth have 7?
A: No, they must match syllables.
Q: I want to write more than one stanza for my entry, is this allowed?
A: While we admire your drive, for this event we ask that you submit just one!
Q: Will you allow contractions (Example: I'm, They've, It's...)?
A: Yes.
Q: May I use half rhymes?
A: Yes.
