Mario Golf: Super Rush

The new game in the Mario Golf series, Mario Golf: Super Rush, had been announced during the Nintendo Direct in February this year. The new trailer came in today and I was super excited to play this!

What are your thoughts?

It seems pretty decent but I'm not sure it's worth it for me. I'm hoping for a new Mario striker or baseball game.

I haven’t played a Mario Golf game for ages. I’d be more interested in a Mario Baseball game. I don’t think I can justify paying full price for any golf game.

I have been waiting for those kind of games, but I am not sure when Nintendo will release those games. It's been a while though. I am hoping for near future.

Never played a Mario Golf game, but I would love to play Super Rush!
It would've been cool to add a mini-golf mode, though, as I'm sure the courses would've looked so cool with the Mario theme

This game is looking good. Reminds me of a mix of the Gamecube, GBC, and GBA versions. I wasn't too interested in the 3DS version, but I am in this one.

I've never played any of the Mario Golf games, but this one really peaked my interest with that Speed Golf mode. I doubt I'll pick it up though, I'm not huge on sport games, so dropping $60 isn't worth it for me. Will definitely look forward to seeing some gameplay videos though. Love seeing some new faces, like Pauline and King Bob-omb.

I haven't played a Mario Golf game since the GameCube (which I LOVED), so this is a day one purchase for me.

This is the first time I'm looking forward to a Mario Golf game. I'm also glad that my husband wants it so I can try it out.

I was burned hard by Mario Tennis Aces (which I was looking forward to a lot). I hope this one will have good single player content.

I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to a Mario hockey game, or even a Mario football game. Maybe in the future they’ll do other sports? I think they had hockey as one of the sports in that one Mario game with all the sports in it. I’m drawing a blank though and I can’t think of the name. It was for the Wii, I believe.

Now that I've watched the trailer: this game looks amazing! We are still going to share a copy unless we find it necessary to get two. That depends on how much I fall in love with it!

Speed golf looks super interesting and I love how they worked in Mii golfers.

Pre-ordered since they first announced it. I loved the Gamecube one. Can't say I was ever the best at it...but I loved it anyway. Lol. These types of games are perfect for just chilling and thinking about angles and stuff. Sometimes all I want to do is contemplate the trajectory of a ball.

Yes, that is correct. The title was Mario Sports Mix and had hockey in it, which was fascinating. Having a Mario hockey or football game would be nice!

i’ve never played a mario golf game before nor did i even know that was a thing LOL but this looks kind of fun! i don’t see myself picking up a copy, though since i live in canada and knowing how prices are here, it’ll probably cost around $80 and i’m not willing to pay that much for a game unless it’s one that i really want. could definitely see this being included in a future tbt event if staff buys it + multiplayer is allowed.

Come to think of it, it's kind of disappointing that this new game is exclusively Mario again. I feel like the demand for a 'Nintendo Golf' with characters from multiple franchises would be a bigger draw. It's kind of surprising that they keep avoiding this.

I only do Olympic winter games so games like these l don't play. But it will be fun for the golf people. Just mario sport games never internets me.
