*headdesk*
Just to check I've got this right : mass role-claiming at this stage would be bad for town, and ideal for cult/any remaining hostile 3rd parties, yes? And, presumably, good for Toadsworthy personally as the odds of all 21 players in this game having strictly logical names and roles are surely astronomically unlikely (I don't know the show myself, but it would shock me to learn that the show somehow has an ideal character for every role in this game ; though not as much as it would shock me if we, the players, were to somehow reach a concensus as to whether Toadsworthy's claim "fit" or not even if we *did* all name-and-role-claim...).. meaning there would be room for doubt in any case for him, right?
Following on from that, speaking generally : the more confused and muddlied pro-town players are, the better for cult/hostile 3rd parties (I'm vague on if there can only be one of those or if more than one has been ruled out?), yes? Which means that the more time and effort we spend debating random theories - instead of trying to puzzle out who is actually cult/hostile 3rd party - the harder it's going to be for town to pull together and win.
So : does trying to work out what roles are in this particular setup benefit town in any specific way? I assume it could clear up some confusion, yes, but would it actually help town win the game?
Final question for now, which I feel like I know the answer to but want to make very sure of just in case I'm mistaken : is there any benefit to town for a Role Blocking player to announce in-game that they're RBing a specific player tonight? Is this a thing that is normally done (announced ahead of time)?
