I figure the inspiration is okay, it's just that a little care needs to be taken to make sure that the specific markings and the like aren't considered offensive or stereotypical. I'd kinda like to see some more new villagers with international inspirations

I wouldn't mind Cupcake being brought back, I not the biggest fan of her design but she was me fav villager in the gamecube game.
I just looked up Tarou and I agree, we need him back lol. Can't have too many wolf villagers~

All of them absolutely need to return. It sucks that some of them were e-reader exclusive and given Nintendo's thing in Smash bringing everyone back, they might as well do that here.

Barring legal issues like "we only had a deal to have Sanrio villagers in NL and can't do them in Switch" there's no reason they can't do everyone, including our Amiibo friends.

I hope that if they return more discontinued villagers, they keep their current personalities. I think if they ever bring back Sven for example, they will end up making him cranky. I do not want that. I have him in my Gamecube town and like him for his lazy personality.

I’d honestly just rather them not bring Leigh back if they feel like they’d have to redesign her in any way. I mean if someone is actually going to take offense to the design of a chicken in in a game like AC, then they really have to re-evaluate some things about themselves tbh.

My life would be complete if they brought back Emerald & Sunny, Leigh, Liz, Zoe, Belle, and Petunia (the rhino). Also, as I personally ADORE Sue E. from my experience with her in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing, I would love to see her back in action again as well.

Ace. I thought he was one of the more well-known lost villagers, so it's weird that they still haven't brought him back. He used to be my favorite back when I first started playing PG, though he moved out a long time ago so that title belongs to Egbert now.
