I think the whole "Not on my Christian Minecraft server" thing is so overused that it isn't funny anymore. Fortnite isn't bad, it's those eleven year olds who get into fights about Fortnite vs PUBG that's bad.

Trends are either a hit or miss with everyone. You like some and don't like others. I personally don't think it's okay to call any of them cancerous just because they may not be your cup of tea! Let people live their lives and do/say/wear what they want, as long as they're not hurting anybody. c;

Anti-vaping ads/policy drafts that inadvertantly encourage people to stay with (or start with) cigarettes. It seems like a bad idea to kill off by all evidence a healthier product early (with potential to become safer) because of association, especially if it's not possible to kill the alternative.

Anti-smoking ads in general are usually cringeworthy as hell. They all seem like they were thought of by some lizard people who, in an attempt to try and "become human", they use imagery that's all the rage with the kids nowadays. Ironically, they just give me the urge to smoke more.

Same here, not that I can smoke with my bc pills I'm on but honestly I just wanna go buy 10 packs and smoke just cause. Like tf spend money on something else, people will always smoke and they will always sell as long as it pays the tax money.

Exactly. I understand parents, guardians and teachers telling kids not to smoke because of course it's bad for their health, but once they become old enough to legally buy cigarettes/cigars/vapes/whatever they wanna smoke, they are legally given a choice to smoke or not to smoke. If they still choose to smoke, that's their decision, not the decision of the parents, guardians or teachers, and especially not the decision of the corporations pushing these awful ads.

Something I actually thought of that I want to add to this thread because I feel like it is a cancerous trend, is people who "stan" musicians or famous people. For those who aren't aware, the word stan comes from an Eminem song of the same name. It's basically about a boy named Stan (boy who woulda thunk) who becomes really obsessed with Eminem to the point of insanity and goes as far as to kill both himself and his pregnant girlfriend over it. And yet there's people unironically refer to themselves as stans. That, by default, makes me not ever wanna interact with you, because it's like designing a huge sign that has "I'm crazy" written on it and waving that thing around.

Yeah. You can always try and minimize the ads but since smoking will probably always be "huge" (especially with oldies and kids getting into it) it ain't gonna help pushing either side of the ad spectrum... I mean I dunno if you are allowed to even do smoking ads here but all the money they spend on the "quit smoking" commercials are just dumb...maybe add that to actual healthcare and people who are stuck rather than condemning a whole population for it.
