My first posting!

Hey guys, this is my first time sharing my designs on this forum. Please rate and give feedback-I would greatly appreciate it. =) In the mean time, I'll also browse around this thread for your homes and visit + rate them as well.
The first one is my hotel, it's a Sad Love Story theme:

I visited all three last night and I enjoyed visiting each one of them :); my favorite of the three was Marcel's. I loved the concept behind all of them though (even though I'm not a fan of Charlie and the Chocolate factory or Willy Wonka. :p)

Here's the house I finished today; I had a lot of trouble thinking of what to do with his house. I wanted to make his house look unique and not do something that a lot of people had already done with it; I don't think I was completely successful at it even though I was just working with what ideas I did have. I am happy with how the exterior ended up looking though I was disappointed that I couldn't put any more of my sidewalk tiles down (I reached the max item limit ><).

I also thought that the Paranormal Activities mock-up house was very cool. It could be creepier though! =)

Ty I thought about having blood or demonic things around it but I didn't want to push it too far since lots of kids probably play the game. I haven't seen the movie in many years so my memory was fuzzy of the layout of the house but I winged it. The skeletons were supposed to be the demons and the doll was kind of like that Annabelle story

I really like this! The inside isn't super-unique, but it's solid, has a good flow, and captures his personality (though omg, get rid of that stool so I can force him to play piano :p). The outside is a really great idea (antique shop!!!), but since you hit the item limit it feels pretty unfinished, unfortunately. If I were you I'd go back and cut a few corners in terms of detail to make it feel more complete- the walls can be replaced with tokonomo or something (they're 2x1 instead of 1x1), find a good 2x1 table to replace the display stands with, in a pinch asphalt roads can be replaced with the long metal stage rug, etc.

If I may suggest... your next horror themed house should be about V/H/S. That movie is creepy. :O

Thanks for the feedback! :] That gives some some relief; since I couldn't think of something unique to come up with, I hoped to, at the very least, capture his personality.

I replaced the display stands with two meeting room tables; replaced the walls with the tokonoma; replaced the road with two small black stage rug; took out the wooden stool; added a few sidewalk tiles; and added a modern bench. I don't think I like how the tokonoma looks with the antique shop; the area where the two stage rugs meet looks off too.

This is what it looked like when I made the changes ~ I didn't save it to HHN yet though; I haven't decided what else to add yet.

I made a quick mock-up to figure out what I would do with the plot (it's hard for me to visualize things sometimes) (also I'm missing that streetlight). Feel free to use the entire thing, ignore completely, or whatever man, it's your house :p
CSOIMrhUEAA2_EA.jpg
(in retrospect i should have used the medicine cabinet for the cafe wall too...)

Thank you so much for your help (and the time you took to make the mock-up); I really appreciated it (I made sure to credit you in my tumblr post :)). :] That does look much better; I did end up putting the single partition walls back in, instead of using the medicine cabinet or the takanoma. I liked your idea of making the road continue instead of ending at my house the way I originally was planning on. It does bring more color and fills up the lot efficiently [meaning they didn't block each other or the paths since the items were rugs :p].

Here's the new QR code:

I?m not really happy with how the outside turned out, but I really didn?t know what else I could do. I'll go back and fix it later and edit my qr codes and design number when I do.

The concept that I used for Pascal?s house was that he finds and preserves historical artifacts, and then he sells them to villagers for scallops. The main room is his work and research area. Upstairs is where he likes to relax.

The newspaper qr code that I used belongs to KitchenWhisk; the floor patterns that I used outside belongs to Astraena (I found the qr pattern here). The ?Big Boss? and the quest marker designs are mine.

'Until Dawn' themed home for Hans 0807-7714-016

If anyone has played the game before it might make a little more sense xD Hans is Josh, Isabelle is Sam, Kyle is Chris, Bonbon is Emily, Bill is Matt, and I was Ashley. Going to put more screenshots in the screenshot thread in a bit.

Updated Peanut's house.

Resident: Peanut
Design Name: Land of the Free
Design #: 0409-7715-999

The golden path qr code that I used belongs to sheridanstar; I found it here.

When I worked on her house for the first time (a couple of weeks ago) ~ when I was moving around the jail partition, I somehow was reminded of a lecture I attended in 2007 about James Yee, a former Muslim chaplain in the US army who had been stationed in Guantanamo Bay. Peanut's theme sparked my interest to design the opposite of what she was asking for (but, the subject ~ America, being the same). I wanted to show my cynical perception of America's slogans and try to illustrate (without anything graphic) how America does not always or exactly live up to its catchphrases.

dayfourhundredthirteen0.JPG
The wall represents Arizona's "solution" to illegal immigration.
The documents customized with the quest exclamation mark icon represent job opportunities.

dayfourhundredfourteen0.JPG
The Mannekan Pis represents the disrespect/racism towards people of other cultures (and other culture as a whole).

dayfourhundredfive00.JPG
I included some of America's slogans on the wall to follow through the concept of Room 101 in George Orwell's book, 1984; I combined the brainwashing concept with what I learned about Guantanamo Bay from Yee's lecture. The American flag is in front of the lab chair because the flag was present during the torture/abuse.

Another Home!

I just finished another home that I think I did fairly well on. :D
Resident: Colton
A noble living space.
HHN Code: 0408-7711-981
I really like what I did on the outside and in the second room (although small, it's like a dungeon / trap).

Hiya folks! I'd love some opinions on my Jazz Lounge/Concert Hall.

I'm actually pretty pleased with it myself. :p
