sure! uwu i usually have some sort of safety system in place for the artist and buyer (watermarks, etc) like i did on gaiaonline but that would be very difficult to orchestrate with bell commissions ;;

Oh! Your from Gaia too? Ha ha, that's awesome. I used to always be on Gaia. I haven't in awhile as things have changed on their... But! I get a lot of my artist stuff from there, so I understand the watermark stuff issue. You could always do 1/2 now, then watermark, and then the last 1/2 paid, then send the full copy though? Perhaps it feels more complicated that way though? That's at least what my friend Yana does.
No problem, we can definitely do it then!
Also, as a tip, retail can be very handy when dealing with mills. Say you put up 1 piece of fruit per each mill, and thus won't have to deal with all the headaches of picking up 5 mill off the ground, nor the person dropping it.

I hop on occasionally as well, change up my avie, cuz ugh the horded items I can't bear to sell. T.T;; But man I feel you. The inflation and the re-releases and the everything. It just kind of all slowly rose up until it exploded and I can't anymore. Yeah. I know quite a few other artist friends who did the same, it just wasn't worth it and others quit as well. It's sad, but I shall remember the glory days.

yeah, i dont even click the daily chance anymore and if i see an item i like i add it to my wishlist and it just kinda sits there

oH MAN REMEMBER WHEN THEY SOLD ITEMS FOR LIKE $50+ right after club verge got released and then we got the very first 999gc bundles and everyone got sO EXCITED cause gaia was selling things for a decent price and now its just
8 new announcements every hour and theyre all sales

I haven't bought a new item in ages. There's pretty ones out there, but the prices ugh. And then quite a few times I found that once I wanted one, they quickly re-released more in different colors, get the whole color code marrionette stuff out there. Ha ha. And then I was just like oh, okay, how about no then.
Omg. I remember when the bundles were actually legit and you could actually earn off them or get cool items. They were exciting and fun. I went back once and it was like 25 new announcements! And I was like whoa, hell n'aw. Everything is just "give us $$" themed on there now and I can't-. It was fun when there was cute items, fun games, and good threads. You looked forward to dressing up your avvie and comparing and etc, but it's just gotten so bad now.
Oh man, anywhere you go people will complain about your art prices. One of my friends is doing art kind of like yours for 5 mill per mayor/chara, and then she made a derp shop and suddenly 6 mill bids. It was like, wait whaaa. To me, I think if you do the turnips or the island (which I know the island can be so boring and tedious ugh), you can easily earn mills. I know it's not everyones slice of cake, but if you're buying art for fake in-game bells, I think you should work hard to make it worth it.

the bright pink ones and grayscale are the worst cause its just the pink causes eye strain and then b/w ones look like they were desaturated in photoshop and thats it

Oh man, I know! I used to be obsessed. It was such a great place to be. So diverse and driven and just a melting pot of creativity. It was wonderful! But they totally got swept away in the money market and it's just horrid now. I feel the same. I was so angry at first too, and now it's just like, that sad feeling where you just you miss the way it used to be. Makes me feel all old, reminiscing about how it used to be. They had something special.
Oh man those were the ones that like really sounded an alarm or hit me where it hurts. It was just like, they were so cheap and it was obvious they made so much $$ of they first they just released them quickly to get more. They aided in ruining the economy there too, as people at the time were paying so much for it and then BAM cheap copies all over the place. It was terrible. zOMG was another alarm too. =w=;;
Oh my god, I know! It was horrid. I couldn't stand going in there anymore. It was my favorite part about Gaia. I loved seeing everyone's OC's and their styles and finding them on DA from there too and stuff. But the people just got so bad. I met some of my close online friends in freebie threads and I can't count how many times they and I (and others) would just get fed up of the way people treated them. It's so sad to see that it seems it's not just Gaia that artists get treated this way. Hopefully it'll change, soon too.
