i have an itty bitty bamboo connectorsomething, whichever was the cheapest one from their new line
i cant really even justify buying myself an intuos yet [SUB]maybe when i go off to college...?[/SUB] but i'm pretty happy with it!
apparently wacom also refurbished the intuos line and they look pretty neat but according to the specs its just bamboo tablets in a shiny new package

it doesn't really take that long to get used to it
i mean considering you've been drawing with a cintiq you'd probably have a bit of trouble if you were to transition to a non-screen tablet
but the learning curve isn't really that steep~

OH man yeah. I was one of those peeps. It was nice to be able to ocassionaly afford items and sell 'em to buy others and stuff. But then they started rising up and I was like WHOA. Hah, I feel old as well, I started in '08, so just 1 year before. Ha ha. But if you think about it that was like 6 years ago. o man. >.>;;
Ugh, my friends and I used to do zOMG all the time on the weekends and it was so much fun to do quests together and stuff, but things got really boring once they never finished the pier and then they added that other place, but you had to pay, and one friend and I ended up trying it out anyways, and it was WAY overpowered. It was insane to try to level up to be able to play in it. It was such a waste.
Oh yeah dude. I mean I see it all over the place, artists being harassed. Gaia was def one of the 9 circles though. Ha ha. They got so bad. I noticed some things on DA and tumblr are getting pretty bad at times too though. Ugh.

Can I pop into this conversation about Gaia?;; I was on Gaia for a good number of years and met a lot of great people there (like Sunsu), but I have to agree about the treatment of artists in the Freebie forum. People are so rude and entitled there and it just drove me up a wall. Come to think of it, I think I might have been driven off the site by how vexed I was dealing with users there.
A friend and I had a joint freebie thread there that we operated... it was supposed to be a fun little thing for us to get to know other people, make friends, share art, and such. Unfortunately, things didn't go like we planned. u mu We were pretty much just treated like art factories that pooped out art at one's beck and call and it really drove me nuts. I really wanted the thread to be a fun thing that could involve and engage our thread goers, but very few people seemed interested in taking part in the festivities to favor hit n' running instead. And just... no. It was fun while it lasted, but I honestly don't see myself going back to the site as a regular user, like back in the day. Both because the forums I frequent are not what they used to be, but also the site, as with what you two have already commented on. u mu And it really makes me sad--it was such a great place to hangout, once upon a time.

The majority of threads I operated on Gaia were freebie threads. = 7=;; I didn't like the pressure that came with doing commissions--mostly because I was horrible at getting them done in a timely manner and dealing with nagging;; It was a lot of fun at first, but then the AF just kept getting worse and worse and I just... yeah. I rarely ever got tips. Like... practically never! Not even the 25g post tips. orz I mean, I know they're freebies but goodness, no appreciation--I wouldn't get too many thank yous, either. D': After putting in so much time to make my threads look nice on top of popping out art, getting nothing back or being treated poorly just didn't make it worth it. u mu;; A lot of people that don't draw or associate with artists really do seem to have that kind of mindset, and it's really sad.

I am on the waiting list so it will be awhile before you get to me which is totally fine, but once it gets closer could I maybe change my order? I have more money to pay now and I should then too, so I will probably at least want to change the money offer and ask for a fullbody instead I might want to ask for something different entirely, but I'm not sure yet.
I figure that I'll just make the new off once its closer, you know? I just want to make sure its okay to do that. I don't want to lose my spot on the waitlist n.n'
