My overall thoughts on the forum as a seller.

usually male. i like to wear cute and pretty stuff tho, stuff i’m too shy to wear in real life x)
i’ve seen mostly feminine/female villagers in my trading experience! of my friend group it’s actually a 3:4 female to male ratio of ac players- one of the guys plays as his female oc so for villagers themselves it would be 4:3

i would change my vote to neutral. i have a feminine name so its easier to address me that way which i dont mind, my character is kind of like a mini me so theyr supposed to look androgynous
in my experience with my NH trades ive traded with 2 people who looked masculine and the rest looked feminine (about 20)

i’ve done 800+ trades on here since joining in 2015 and i’ve definitely traded with more female characters than male ones. out of the 800+ i’ve done, i’ve only had 2 less-than-ideal situations so i think i’m pretty lucky to be part of such a trustworthy community.

I always play as a female, because you know, I'm female.

Here is my experience with my island.

Me (Narie) - I am female IRL and have a female character.
Luna - My sister's character, she is female IRL and has a female character.
Masami - My husband. He is male IRL and has a gender neutral character, though technically selected boy during the creation process.
Lysassarin - My brother in law. He is male IRL and made a female character.

My sister and I typically create female characters, my husband typically creates either or, it just depends on his mood and my brother in law typically creates female characters.

I've mostly encountered female characters when trading, but my character is male although I am female irl.
I have a guy friend who has a female character though, so there's that.

I haven't done a ton of trading recently, but I mostly stay on TBT since the people are a lot kinder here
