Thank you! They come in the mail the next day, and you only get mail once a day in New Horizons. c:
If I'm trying to gather rocks, which would be the better choice: Mystery islands or boat tours? I think that it's the mystery islands, because the boat tours tend to just give me clay and iron.
Boat Tours are much better becuase it only cost like 1,000 Nook miles to go to the island whereas if you wanted to go to a Nook Mile island which is a Nook Mile Ticket that costs 2,000 Nook Miles. Here is the downside you're only allowed to go once per day with Boat Tours but with Nook Mile islands you can go to it as many times as you want as long as you have enough Nook Mile Tickets. If I'm trying to gather rocks, which would be the better choice: Mystery islands or boat tours? Oh what?! I didn’t know that there was a limit. I think that the villagers don't go to areas of the museum that have nothing being shown. I've only seen two at most myself at one time, and here's my visual proof. Scoot can barely be seen behind the small river fish aquarium if you look closely:Why is it that my residents only ever go to the fossils / dinosaurs part of the museum? I haven't seen them anywhere else. Also I only ever see a maximum of two residents in that part of the museum at any one time. A maximum of one resident appears at Nook's Cranny and only one can be seen at Able Sisters. Why is that?
omg! This is a hilarious and awesome pic with Scoot hiding, he looks like he's peaking between the ferns! Would be perfect where's waldo pic, lol. Anyways, encountering villagers in the museum is pretty much a random occurrence if it's not in the middle of their sleep schedule or there's an event going on. This photo was also the only time I ever found two villagers in the same exhibit.
And if you really think about it, Nook's and Able Sisters are quite small on the inside. It'd get a bit claustrophobic if there was more than one villager inside of these shops alongside the employees and you. One villager at most is intentional.
The only part of my museum that is full is the fossils / dinosaurs section. The others have plenty of items in them, but aren't complete. I've got to be honest, despite playing this game every day for nearly 2-years, I haven't done much! But I do make sure I speak to all the villagers every single day. Some days, I only play it for 10 minutes!I think that the villagers don't go to areas of the museum that have nothing being shown. I believe it will work. Amiibo villagers at the campsite won't fill a plot until you've given them their third DIY request total and ask them to move in (I found out you can even split the requests between multiple villagers and it saves your progress). Just make sure you put the plot down before asking the villager to move in, otherwise they'll say that there's no open plots. There's no waiting until tomorrow to set an empty plot up, unless it's your first three that require furniture items.Hello!
So, I have a question. I can still put one more house plot down. If I wanted someone from an amiibo card to move in, am I able to bring them to the camp twice and on the third day, I put the plot down and invite them again and they could move in? Does this work?
It should work and even if for some reason it doesn't and someone ends up taking that plot you can always just kick them out with the amiibo card.Hello!

You have to put down the home plot on the 3rd when they are asked they are want to move in. However if there is already a villager moving into that spot and you reach the limit of 10 villagers then the amiibo villager will ask who you want to move out. Unlike the regular campsite villager where they would make you play a card mini game, the amiibo villager on the 3rd day will allow you to choose what villager to move out. Once you select the villager you want to move out they will start packing their stuff and they will move into your island in the next 2 days.Hello!

You have to start the game up for the first time and there is a selection of 4 islands to pick. Keep in mind you can restart to get different variety of islands you want. So choose wisely. So I'm about to finally score myself a Switch, with luck, and I have a copy of NH waiting and big plans for my island. But I wonder if the island is big enough for those plans. Is there any way to get some idea of how big the islands are?
I found this Reddit thread that measured their island. LINKSo I'm about to finally score myself a Switch, with luck, and I have a copy of NH waiting and big plans for my island. But I wonder if the island is big enough for those plans. Is there any way to get some idea of how big the islands are?
Every island is the same size in regards to how much furniture you can theoretically put down outside. Of course, like others mentioned, they vary wildly in where river mouths are located, Resident Services, the shapes of certain areas, etc. What Timmy & Tommy give you at the airport is completely random. If you don't like any of the four they show to you, just quit the game and try again. It may take a bunch of tries, but placements matter for some things. Choose something that you'll most likely not regret later. So I'm about to finally score myself a Switch, with luck, and I have a copy of NH waiting and big plans for my island. From my personal experience, you need at least a few hybrid flowers, and more than just one color or type of flower all throughout. Just throwing around millions of red roses in a field won't cut it. Yes, you still need a certain flower amount, but that can be reduced if you have lots of hybrid flowers and more than one type or color. I don't like having a million flowers on my island myself, but if I want to maintain 5 stars, I gotta do that. So, due to the ongoing Halloween events here on the forums, I'm overhauling sections of my island. Part of that involves getting rid of a majority of the hybrid flowers I have that had overrun the island's landscape (keeping a couple of each to replenish them again later).
I know that there's a certain amount of flowers you need to have around the island to maintain a 5-star rating. What I'd like to know is whether you need a variety of different flower species or if you can just primarily stick with one (or two) types primarily and still maintain the rating?
