New Horizon's Rating suggests In-Game Purchases

But I don’t want paid DLC either. Considering how it’s been five painful years of going through all these Animal Crossing cash grabs, a complete game with no strings attached was the least they could do. :(

If it’s pc it’s more two years, three this November, and if it’s amiibo festival, then 5 years is correct (at the time of writing this comment)

Considering that this was posted before the update, I wouldn’t worry so much as I thought, of course things could change...but I doubt it will happen.

I had a live chat with someone from NOA, and asked them about the rating. They said they wouldn't know anything until closer to release.

I said that fans wouldn't be too happy if it did turn out to be MTA's.

Then the rating changed.

I still think some kind of paid DLC will be in the game at some point, and if it's worth it, and doesn't cost a fortune, I'd be totally ok with it.

Yeah dude that live chat had no effect on the rating

I know.
That's not what I was saying at all. :-/
Timing, was my point.

Hahaha I fully expected somebody to post something of this nature in response to John's comment sounding a little like he influenced the changing of the rating.

It didn't even cross my mind when I posted it.
It was me just relaying a conversation.

If they already yanked that rating from new horizons, I doubt it was anything that complex or micro transactionish. It was an easy fix, so they fixed it. Something that was just speculation managed to get everyone worked up and annoyed so hopefully now that this is out of the way people will be more excited.

Not sure when you had this live chat but its been changed for a couple of days, its not exactly new news.

It was yesterday, and I never posted that anything was news.

It was just a comment/post.

I'll be disappointed if there are microtransactions or DLC but I'll begrudgingly buy it. I love this series too much.

Check out the official website, it’s been updated to not have this anymore, like I expected

Again, everyone, it could very well just mean future DLC plans like an expansion pack. There is no need for concern until we get more information about it. As long as the DLC is a worthwhile value and doesn't feel like something removed from the game, I'll be happy with it. The only exception would be an outfit or something where the funds are going strictly to charity after a major disaster or something like that, as long as it's not a common occurrence.

Well, I'd like to know more.

And Nintendo, make up your mind.
Either there are, or there aren't in game purchases.

Honestly who cares about it at this point. It either does or it doesn't. Though it likely doesn't. Just purchase product and enjoy. :/

I’m sure in game purchases is for the online factor via Nintendo Switch online hence why it’s here

Then every game with online would have it, but that's not the case. OP post, Mario Kart doesnt have it despite being heavily online orient.
