What? Now we have to have cards! This will be a cool feature and I can't wait to interact with villagers, but I'm not excited about having to spend more money now on cards.

I don't know how to feel about this game! I am a sucker for AC, but I think I will wait to see how it is once it is released since I have an Australian 3ds and I wouldn't want to waste $60 :/

Thank you so much for this. I was told by my friend that works in the electronics department that the cards wouldn't work for my 3DS xl that I got in Dec. and that I'd have to buy the newest version of the handheld. I'm still torn regarding the cards however. I'll reserve judgement until I see the cost. I don't mind sending the money on an amibo figurine because they're extremely well crafted, they 're collectable and they look great on my gaming shelf. Now if Nintendo would release amibo figurines of the animal crossing villagers.... well I'd be sitting at the front door at midnight on the release date.
