Who is getting a Nintendo Switch?

I like the look of Pokemon Let?s Go, Eevee for the Nintendo Switch

I wonder if they?ll do an Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo Switch :)

My boyfriend has one that we share. I play on it more than he does, though, lol (not because I'm hogging it, just because I'm home more, and more into video games).

I'm so glad the new Pok?mon games look like they'll allow you to play together on one console. It'd really suck if I had to get my own, especially since I can't really afford it. Hopefully it'll be that way with 2019 games, too.

I think they're working on an AC game for Switch, it's just not ready to be announced yet. I think some people in the fandom do need to chill about wanting a new release, though, honestly. Let them wait.

My friend has one maybe he’ll let me try it out before I get one

I was very reluctant to buy one but now that i have, I’m so glad I did. So far I really like the games I have for it... they’ll definitely keep me busy until the inevitable new ac game comes out :> Especially Mario odyssey and BOTW which alone are worth the switch i think lol. I’m interested in the Pok?mon game when it comes out too, but my bro is more excited to play it than me so i’ll probably buy it for him.

Do you think it’s easy to use?

Do you think it’s easy to use?

I had to get used to the weight at first, since I prefer using it handheld. But some games that require the gyro controls are absolutely trash on the handheld. I usually end up docking it and using the joycons separately. But other than that, I think it’s quite easy to use. I’ve had no trouble with mine at all, like reconnecting and disconnecting the joycons.

literally the exact same it is definitely worth it the games are a bit expensive but are really fun!!

What games do you recommend for the Nintendo Switch?

Definitely BotW. It's super fun, and I'm sad I finished it before exploring everything, because I'm too lazy to go back to it, lol. I probably will sooner or later, maybe if I get the DLC.

We also have Mario Odyssey and Just Dance 2018, but they're both sort of... meh.
I'm not a Mario fan to begin with, though, and I just sort of impulse bought the game because there was a deal with the Amiibo set.
Just Dance was really disappointing, though, since the selection of good songs is pretty small. You can get all the songs from the previous versions, but you have to pay a monthly fee, which just isn't worth it to me - or anyone I can think of, for that matter.

Otherwise, I have Stardew Valley for PC, and I love it! If you've play Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, it's similar. I haven't tried the Switch version, but I imagine it's just as good. Unfortunately, they don't currently plan on adding multiplayer to the console versions, though.

Also, there are demos on the Switch, like there are for the 3DS, so you can try out some games before you buy them.

I have one with Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Mario Odyssey is a decent game. Haven't played it in a while but the balloon world feature is pretty fun! Just be aware of the glitched ones...

Mario + Rabbids is good enough for me. Not enough to pick it back up for a second playthrough YET, but I'm surprised how this game is actually good.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a good game for the switch if you didn't own one for the Wii U. I play online a lot but I find the single player mode to be a bit lacking. However, the sales of this game are approximately half the number of Nintendo switches sold so it makes sense that Nintendo is giving more updates to the game. I really hope they improve the single player experience in the future.

Is mario kart 8 a bit like mario kart on the wii and mario kart 7 on the 3DS?

I'd say Mario Kart 8 is more like Mario Kart Wii than Mario Kart 7. But I probably say that because I loved using bikes in Mario Kart Wii, and love it in 8, as well. Mario Kart 7 was just 'meh' to me. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is so much more comfortable to play on the handheld Switch than the 3DS, too.

Is princess peach on it? I like playing as her

In terms of portability and playing on the tv, yes. And of course, you can play as princess peach in this game. Not sure if you're aware about retro tracks but they're present as well. It ranges from SNES tracks to 3DS tracks. N64 tracks are getting so much attention that there is only one track left in Mario Kart 64 that hasn't been brought back yet.

Getting? I already have one. Most of the games are for my brother to play, though.

I bought the Neon edition at launch, and the retail games I have for it so far are Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids and ARMS. I'd recommend each of them except the last one. There are also other games I'd suggest like Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad, DK Tropical Freeze and Pokken, but I have all of those for Wii U and not Switch. I personally prefer using a Pro controller, but I think it plays comfortably in handheld mode too.

What does a Pro controller look like?

Here is an image of the Splatoon 2 edition. There is a standard all-black version and a Xenoblade Chronicles one too, but they all cost roughly about ?60.

Would this one be good too? 151E09EE-5AB3-4BFA-8679-B331B524B71B.jpg
