I feel like bushes really help make a town look beautiful and I've noticed that in the gameplay footage there are no bushes.

Do you think they will be there with the game?

Huh. Theyre not in the trailer either. I would assume they HAVE to include bushes, but maybe theyre being replaced by what we thing are weeds. Who knows

There are some next to a house in the trailer... but it's hard to tell if those are just a house decoration or actual placable bushes.

But really, it would shocking if bushes didn't return so I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps they just weren't yet in a ready enough state to show publicly yet. They're something which could be completed later in the development probably.

They will be in the game. They've chosen to show a very limited portion of the game. That's all.

You probably have to unlock them by building a gardening shop or something like that

most of the gameplay we have seen has been very early in game, you can't get bushes until the flower shop has opened in new leaf so i think it might be something like that in new horizons too. i would be very surprised if they did not return

Even then, you had to upgrade it to TIY before you got any bushes to buy.

I'm sure the bushes will be back. Doesn't make any sense to just get rid of them and not make a return. Like a couple of other people have said, it was just early game play footage. Most things in New Leaf had to be unlock, so this game will likely do that too.

Besides, as Justin pointed out, bushes are indeed in the trailer.

They'll probably come in a different way than the little starters we usually get.

Those look like they could be a home exterior thing, like how you can get mushes around your house in new leaf now, but I think what was mentioned above regarding the bushes not being developed enough to show is a likely explaination.

Bushes

They will keep bushes in the game, I cant see them having taken out that option. It's very likely that they haven't finished a lot of the plant items and so didn't show them off in the trailer, We have nearly a year left before it released; plenty of time for them to add more stuff.

I'm going with the footage didn't show off everything. Theres still a ton of stuff they didn't show

Besides, if people wanted in so badly, Nintendo would most like add it through an update.

if bushes return (which i'm pretty sure they will as they continue to be popular) then i hope the times that they bloom gets extended. i love seeing the flowers and it feels strange to see the flowers not out on the hydrangeas in the spring. maybe it's more realistic that way, but i wish we could enjoy those flowers in the springtime. they would match so nicely with the sakuras.

I noticed the absence in the trailer and gameplay as well...for now I’ll hold out hope that they’ll be included in the final product and just weren’t in development yet. I think that’s pretty likely.

I wouldn’t inherently mind if people could choose to have them bloom sooner (maybe with a special, rare fertilizer?), but personally prefer the flowering times to be more realistic. Hydrangea are strongly associated with summer, and I would find it strange to see them out along with the cherry blossoms.

Yeah we haven't seen them in the trailer (there are bushes but they aren't the same as the plantable ones in New Leaf) but all we've really seen is a lot of early game stuff. In New Leaf you don't get bushes right away and I'm assuming it's the same for New Horizons.

Just because it's not in current footage does not mean they won't be there.

We have not seen Gracie in the trailer, does that mean she's not there?
