"No direct connectivity" between AC:New Horizons and Pocket Camp

i'm glad there won't be a direct link, being able to get items you have in pocket camp into new horizons would feel cheat-y and like you can just pay real life currency to succeed in the game. however i do hope and believe that a lot of (if not almost all except for the flowers) the pocket camp furniture will appear in new horizons because it is gorgeous.

That's fantastic news! I spend a lot of time in pocket camp and I agree, they're 2 different type of games! Also unfortunately Pocket camp is going to be banned here in Belgium because it's considered gambling :(

Pocket Camp connectivity was one of the things I dreaded for New Horizons. Pocket Camp locks too many items behind events, leaf tickets, and lootboxes in the form fortune cookies. Direct item transfer would be great for the few people that stuck out in the game and grinded, but terrible for the rest of us that simply don't like the game or can't be bothered to constantly grind and burn money on fortune cookies. This is for the best.

This also seems odd that they wouldn’t do it since it was supposed to be a thing in nl, according to assets that were found in nl’s game code (Giovanni and crew were to have RV’s, but were never implemented and were cut out like they ran out of time)

It’s a shame since I’ve been playing pc on and off for the last year and a half since it was released, and was hoping for some kind of connectivity, i have some items that are pc only that I really wanted to have in the new game. (And that means the majority of items that were introduced in this game are going to be left behind)

And I hate the fact that it says collaboration items, that means it’s going to be completely minuscule unless more is elaborated later on...

And this is not confirmed, but it’s a hypothesis, if you have any save data from pc, it’s probably going to be along the lines of “thank you for playing Pocket camp, an item has been sent to your mailbox” and it’s just an RV model

"No direct connectivity" - what an incredibly beautiful phrase! This makes me so happy!

I've tried PC several times and I just never clicked with it. I've never really felt connected to the campers and I'm not a huge fan of micro transactions/loot boxes. I recently gave PC yet another try on the chance that it might be connected with AC Switch but thanks to this amazing article stating there's "no direct connectivity" with New Horizons I never have to play PC again! Happiness!

Thank you, Justin, for the link to this article! After reading it I'm even more excited for New Horizons!

I'm really happy about this! I gave up on ACPC a looong time ago and even when I've tried ti get back into it, it never lasted more than 5 minutes. So I'm glad I can stop feeling apprehensive about missing out on stuff just because I chose not to play it anymore. :)

Awesome! The mobile game was ok, I enjoyed it for about a month. However, I am glad that they are making the items coincide with each other. ACPC did have a lot of cute furniture and items. Especially their Halloween things!

Awesome! My mom and I didn't really like Pocket Camp, so I'm glad there is no connection. She and I weren't really impressed by the micro transactions in the game and how we couldn't get those really cool dresses and such. I'm also glad there isn't any in New Horizons, otherwise that would of just killed the game for me. XD

I picked Pocket Camp up again, but really only to kill time during my lunch break. I would be so disappointed if they linked it up to New Horizons because it definitely doesn't have the feel of an Animal Crossing game and I wouldn't want to associate the two.

im super glad.
i hope a lot of furniture will make it to switch tho because they have a lot of great items there but it really doesnt sound like we will get all of them.
time to uninstall pc i guess haha i only had it to get items incase we could transfer them over haha

Don't have a problem with this, actually, I'm kinda glad about this, as I stopped playing Pocket Camp
a while ago and don't wanna start play it again to be honest. As long as a bunch of the new items
from that game are available in NH then I'm happy.

I'm very glad about this news seeing as how I won't be able to play PC anymore soon due to it being banned in my country, I wouldn't want to miss out. I'll probably miss some collab items but it is what it is, I guess.

Never been a fan of Pocket Camp but I played it just to collect items in case they were able to transfer. I guess I can finally retire it. I do hope item collaborations means the PC items will be available in game and it was just a weird translation for that interview. Pocket camp has some of the coolest items I've seen in AC, especially coming from recent Colton and Stella cookies. I'd be sad if I couldn't have that stuff in NH.

Not a huge fan of PC, though I don't detest it quite as much as many of y'all, so this is good news. I do hope they let villagers wear accessories, however! They look so cute in them!
