Earth; 2034.
You sit in a white, shaking padded room, with a red, wet doctor's mask around your mouth. You've just woken up from a shot from a tranquilizer gun. When you finally return to your senses, you realize you have it, and you are being taken to a "camp." The reason?
A deadly virus has broken out, endangering and taking many lives. The government has responded to this by taking abandoned towns and turning them into quarantine zones for the infected.
There is only one rule; don't try and get out, or the guards will kill you.

Basically, the virus causes the skin to be bruised easier, causes frequent nosebleeds, causes the victim to often cough up blood, and fits of blind rage.
You are in the newest quarantine zone set up by the government; the small town of Harvor.
When you arrive, you are met with a dull, gray, crumbling town. You can see the blood from other patients scattered on the sidewalks. The next six months are going to be great.

The town plaza is a circular plaza with a dry fountain in the center. It's usually used as a meeting place for... uh... friends.
Just outside the Town Plaza, there are a variety of bakeries, coffee shops, bookstores, toy stores, and more. They're all abandoned, but some still have stale, moldy food for those who are willing to eat that stuff. They're sometimes used as places to sleep.
The Mall is in the same area as the smaller stores, however, it's a bit less welcoming. The more shady people hang out here, and it's where most of the murders happen. However, there are a variety of materials that can be put to good use... if you're willing to risk your short, precious life.
The houses take up pretty much the rest of the town, minus some small parks here and there. The houses are used as shelters and warehouses for medicine and food brought by The Truck.
There is a chain link fence surrounding the entire town, and it is guarded by military 24/7. You jump it and run, you get shot and die. There is a gap in the fence only opened when the truck comes with a new patient, supplies, or both.
1 - No Mary Sues! Nobody likes them.
2 - If you're going to kill someone, make sure they have your permission outside of the roleplay.
3 - Romance, yes. Over the top romance, no.
4 - Please don't go to sleep/on vacation/whatever in an awkward time! At least say something like "suddenly, he started coughing up blood and made a mad dash into a house."
5 - Please roleplay in the third person/
6 - One living character at a time, please!
7 - You are a plain human, nothing special. Just a sick human.
