NOA President Reggie Fils-Aime is retiring

I don't even know what his actual responsibilities were at the company. I only know him from the weird PR videos and obv E3.

Tbh I dunno if this will make any real difference for us, as customers.

One of my earliest memories of New Leaf was visiting Reggie's house in the HHA Showcase.Have a pleasant retirement,Reggie.

I'm going to miss Reggie but I'm glad he's going to be able to spend more time with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I hope Doug Bowser does as well.

Enjoy your retirment, Reggie!

It wont, nintendo fans are just sentimental babies.

Reggie, like his former boss Iwata, will forever be an anomaly in the world of huge corporations. Very rarely do you see company presidents interact with their customers on the levels that they did. They set an example that I hope Mr. Bowser continues.

Seriously, how many companies have filmed videos of their presidents fighting each other in crazy anime fashion?

We didn't deserve either one of them.

Just saw that Reggie made a Twitter account.

Now he can see and feel the madness of each fandom related to a Nintendo game up close, lol.

Sad thing is he'll continue to be bombarded with questions, demands and an insane amount of other nonsense regarding things he no longer has any connection to.

But man, am I looking forward to seeing how he interacts with people.

Luckily, Mr. Bowser was the position that Reggie was before he became President: head of marketing.

Hopefully this means Doug will have a similar vibe and can be just as successful!
He also apparently did a lot of the Switch's marketing, which may be NOA's best marketing campaign, simply because of how, well, simple it is.
All these factors give me a lot of hope for him!

But, of course, Reggie will be missed. I can't remember a Higher up from a company being so human.
