Nocturnal Villagers

Maybe not necessarily strictly come out at nighttime villagers, but maybe late risers at say, midday but then they could go outside and do normal stuff villagers do but could be found standing in the spot asleep or on a bench asleep.

Then they could become more active during the night and actively do stuff such as fishing and ask for stuff from you.

I love this idea i normally don't feel like playing animal crossing until late at night when i just want to chill but you're so limited most of the time this would really help i hope they add this to the switch.

I think this is a really neat idea. As an insomniac myself, Id love to be able to do stuff with a villager or two during nights when I just can't sleep.

I?m actually suprised that they haven?t done this with villagers yet considering that they did with the owls and different villigers already have set times that they wake up and go to sleep. I am actually somewhat expecting this.

It'd be cool to eventually see a different 'side' of the village depending on what time it is - just like in the real world!

Surprised this hasn't been added yet. Animal crossing already has a lot of nocturnal species such as rabbits, foxes, tigers, etc. Skunks are nocturnal, so Kicks should have a different schedule. This would possibly prevent people from purchasing shoes, but still interesting. Anyways, this is really interesting. Would increase nighttime and early daytime play enjoyability.

I would actually genuinely love to have nocturnal villagers, gheres so many times where I've played really late at night and no one was awake. It gets lonely. Having villagers who stay up during the night would be really cool.

I think that?s a really cool idea! Especially the nocturnal animal idea! I?d like the bat sometimes I?m playing really late at night and I can?t sleep and that would be useful to entertain me.
I have one nocturnal villager, Mira.. she?s a rabbit but she doesn?t wake up till 11am and she?s always up till 4-5 am. She always tells me what a night owl she is. But scolds me for being up!
It should be a more regular thing for sure!

YES PLEASE!! I would love this. I love playing new leaf at night, but nobody is awake and it feels lonely. I love the idea of bats, but maybe also more owls.

Yes! I would love nocturnal villagers and shop keepers. I think that the shop keepers should swap out at a certain time so they can be open later, like how Phyllis takes over for Pelly at night. The nocturnal villagers would wake up later and go to bed later than the rest of the villagers. I could see them waking up in the early evening, like 5 or 6pm, and going to bed around 6am. It would give people like myself who play mostly in the evening or at night more options. Plus, nocturnal animals are so cute.

Speaking of nocturnal villagers: How about also a nocturnal NPC? Like someone who is running a
shop, only open at night for those who love the night live and also can't sleep, loved of course
by the nocturnal villagers, who prefer to hang out there a lot. That would be cool.

I'd love nocturnal NPCs. Maybe it could expand more on Club LOL but have a designated area or night market (like redd's tent) where you can purchase rare items that are on rotation/off season? Eg. If you miss out on gracie's summer collection, you have a chance of finding one piece in the night market during winter, etc.

this would also be cute and would make sense if they were all shady sellers like redd, in little tents with handpainted signs! they could do it so there are different animals each night selling different things (out of season/rare shoes/clothes/accessories, gracie furniture, stuff like that). it would be easy to think of dialogue too... they could be redd's friends who've been tipped off by him to sell in your town, or they could be his competition. they could mention setting up in town to avoid copper and/or booker too, and get shifty when you ask how they've managed to get something brand new from gracie's winter series in the middle of summer. it would be a great incentive to play late at night, and if they were to swap, it would add to their character and mean it wouldn't be so easy to get rare or out of season items by just having the same sellers there night after night.

I really like this idea, because this would make the night a lot more lively and interesting. A problem I had with the old games was not being able to sell anything at night, especially after farming bugs on the shore. The world also felt pretty empty besides 1 or 2 villagers running around, which on the other hand made the world seem calmer (if you weren't worried about being attacked by a tarantula or scorpion constantly). Making those additions to the gameplay at night with specific villagers types would really fit AC I think.

this is a great idea. i normally have night owl ordinance in my town just because i play a lot at night. plus, i like seeing my villagers out and about at 2 am, so it'd be nice to have villagers specifically meant for nighttime strolling

It'd be nice to have some night activities in AC. If I play late at night I usually just hang with Gaston for a while (I think crankies stay up until 4am). One of my favorite things in ACGC was meeting Wisp at night and helping him collect souls or whatever that stuff was. lol

It would also be cool if a couple of existing villagers/species were made to be nocturnal, like a handful of cats could be on the nocturnal schedule!
Or maybe it could relate to they villager type within a species? So lazy cats/mice/wolves/kangaroo/koala(yes, kangaroo and koala are nocturnal animals!),might be nocturnal but the rest in the species aren't.. or something like that!

I also love the idea of adding new nocturnal species all together like bats, hyena, skunks, badgers, owls. So we could potentially have a completely nocturnal town if desired!
