Not so sure about the time sensitive holidays...

I guess with the holidays being much longer than one day that is the way they compromise people maybe not having wifi for a little bit..? But yeah I agree if someone has no wifi to begin with I wonder how this would even play out...

Also I'm concerned about the future when Nintendo won't do updates for the game anymore. This is my first AC game but I know Nintendo let go of Splatoon and Arms events after a bit over a year. That's what I'm afraid of...

yea when i first heard of how theyre handling holidays i immediately thought that this is how they would do it as well.

with easter's holiday being a 2 weeks long, im assuming all of the holidays will be like that. irl, holidays only last 1 day. if that isnt enough time to play during the game at least once than i dont think visiting people for the holidays would be the cause of that. thats not saying people arent busy or anything, its just that compared to past games the holidays will last forever and there should be enough time to access it even tho the holiday itself is locked behind real time instead of just game time.

if u cant find wifi maybe libraries, other family members, friends and such may have some u could snatch for a bit. if there is crafting or recipes involved i plan on grinding out a lot of them to give away, so that those who arent as fortunate to play during the holiday can at least get something from it.

Good point! Didn't think about that. If that's the case, then that was a smart move on their part Also, it helps out a lot of people, since they might be too busy on the actual day of the holiday to play the game. This would give them more freedom.

That's what I am hoping as well~ I am just afraid that after they stop supporting the game, there will be no way to access the holidays. Like I don't imagine they will keep sending regular updates after the first maybe two years?

Yeah, I’m not sure. I’d assume they would make them a permanent part of tge game somehow if they stopped doing different ones every year (assuming that’s what they do). I mean, New Leaf got an update 4 years after release, so you never know.
