Mafia Official TBT Mafia General Thread - Game Types/Bans/Hosting

By variations, I mean like it's own kind of Mini Mafia. You know, PokeMafia I or Dethy Mafia II (you guys know what dethy is, right?)?

I would say it's best to just keep games under the main series or mini series, and the variations can go under one of them. (like Kingmaker will for mini mafia) That ensures we don't have anymore than 2 games going on at once. Or 1, depending on what hosts decide, as Oath is waiting for Mafia 5 to end first.

Based around what I have seen, the highest ban is three games, the lowest being 1. Usually, editing will get you a 1 game ban, and posting info after death will get you a 2/3 game ban.

Like, I got a 3 game Mini Mafia ban because I posted info in my death post (technically, I was just posting what they could've done) but that's the largest game ban I've seen. I think lynn got one too in the second Mafia, but I may be wrong.

Lynn got one for giving advice to "reread posts". It's been completely waived.

Kuma also revealed that SP was an innocent during I think MM2 over IRC. Ban length is still pending, but I can expect it to be at least 2.

She also revealed information on remaining mafia roles after her death. I was planning to discuss it with Oath before MM3 sign ups opened, but the thread went up earlier than I expected.

The rules state that:

Anyone with half a brain and common sense will work out that this isn't limited to just posting.

I also include this in all death PMs to players.

I think that there should be an official ban list. Personally, any games that I ever host, I am not going to utilize the ban list. I'll still modkill you if you do anything worthy of it, but I would never enforce a ban list.

Actually it did.

Karla was quoting the rules where it talking about sharing information after you die is against the rules. Thus, when he said "Anyone with half a brain and common sense will work out that this isn't limited to just posting." he was implying that lynn had done something through PMs.

I really hate that Miller role. Every time I get the role Townie, I cry because of the chance that I'll be the Miller. No Miller has ever been inspected & caught that way, but let's be honest .. if someone returns red in an inspection .. there is no way a Miller can save themselves. :/ They're destined to get lynched. Town would never take the risk and leave a red inspected person in the game.

I pray that one of these games a host will remove that ****ing Miller role.

It's there to make the Detective role less powerful. To make you still have to think about and analyze someone before you lynch them, even if they come up as Mafia. Of course, there are other ways than the Miller to do this, and perhaps one of these games a Host should try them instead.

We should make Framers frame people so that they turn up Roleblocker or something...

Just my opinion, to make the game more complicated...
