Mafia Paper Mario Thousand Year Door Mafia - Mafia Win!!

I can put you as a replacement but this game has already started, VM me if you have played forum mafia before and know what you are doing because I've never seen you in this part of the forums

While I'm at it, Yzanda I didn't give you obs because I don't know your experience and you have 3 posts, so just VM if you want access

I'm in class rn so I ant say much, but I would like to agree with what xcleb said, this isn't going to be a meta game, probably more a game of analysis.

What do you think the town to hostile parties ratio is?
15:6? 15:5?
6 would be a lot of mafia, can you explain why you thought this/put it in your answer?

I don't think it was an argument, more a discussion but ok. The only person trying to do anything rn is Trundle so I guess he's in my good books lol

She was predicting that there may be an argument because of it, which is ridiculous given the topic at hand which wouldn't spark any sort of argument. Unless people started being dumb.

i was actually trying to find scum tho like testing or looking prima's reaction. I find it weird for you to say seeing that you continued the discussion after I made that post. v contradictory

good morning everyone.

Heyden i wasn't saying there was already an argument going on, i was just stating that I've seen mafia come into a discussion about game set up and totally derail town Day1 and preventing them from getting any actually progress done. Also if Apple is Trundle i agree. Apple is Trundle, right? ;)

Zendel is it really ridiculous to think that mafia would come in and put fuel on a fire to spread havoc though the thread?

f11 hello my darling, i wasnt saying you weren't scum hunting so i don't know why you feel the need to point that out, i don't have a problem with discussion about game set up, its good that we all get our ideas out there all i was saying is that we need to keep a level head cause i've seen it go wrong before.

Of the 5-6 people who have posted so far this game, which one do you think is most likely to be mafia if you had to choose 1?

It's hard to choose someone this early in the game cause there's like, no leads. For me to choose one now would be like if I shut my eyes, spun around in a circle and then randomly pointed at someone.

I'm still new to this game but is it likely enough to find scum through these little forms or whatever they're called.

I'm aware that it is basically useless but I'd still like you to pick one. Who are you reading as someone who might be scum right now? Even if you're just picking from your gut instinct.

Corrie i too would like an answer to this question, it won't be held against you, we know that its kinda a stab in the dark, just curious as to what your initial feelings are... and i find it peculiar that you came back to this thread last night for a significant amount of time and choose not to answer the question then.

No but it is an incredibly weak way to move away the attention of scum hunting, in my opinion. If you've seen it beforehand, fair enough. Moving on from that anyway, nobody tried to turn it into an argument sadly, so we still haven't got anything.

I hope things get spicier soon, a few players haven't contributed anything so far so I'm eager to see what they have to say, anything at all would satisfy me.

Why would you ask Corrie this out of everyone? Ask everybody the question to get things going. Then again it was early game so not many people were there at the time.

So...I forward Trundle's question to everyone.

Out of everyone who has posted so far, who would you all think is most likely to be mafia?

I may just be me overthinking it, but I feel like I've noticed a bit of a difference in the way Zendel has been playing. He's been contributing but he's been speaking a but differently and seems a little more serious than the other games I've played with him. I'm not suspicious of him or anything like that, just wondering if anyone else has picked up on this

I'd like to add to why I think using mafia ratio's as a way to start an argument is weak.

- It's the start of the game, people would care more about finding scum after sharing their thoughts.
- Whomever initiates the argument would automatically be the centre of attention, so it would be dumb for them to do so and I don't think anybody here would be that stupid. I can't really see it being beneficial.

its weak yeah, but it can be used. If you push on someone's answer to the question and see that they contradict themselves for no good reason and they are just acting weird in their answers, it could be an indication of mafia. I agree it's weak, but don't dismiss it completely.

It's true, I'm trying something new. I took Ness' advice and read up on techniques and me being a goofball didn't help in any of the previous games so I plan to be more serious now. It isn't fair if my team is being as serious as can be and I'm just saying crap like "Whose mafia, lol?". It isn't helpful and I really want to be a useful player from here on out so it's time to be serious, witty and curious to others behaviours rather than the usual playful self.

Also I'm not having a great day, so my attitude my change tomorrow or later on when I feel better.

Zendel if you're going to be forwarding this question to everyone.... shouldn't you answer it as well ?

as for me, I'd say Corrie for the evasiveness, or Zendel just from gut feelings. :p

Oh I'm not, I think it can catch newer scum players quietly easily so it's useful for town...unless town is full of silly geese, haha.

It's definitely more useful for town than mafia, which is why I like it.

I'll answer it when I have an answer, which will be in a few minutes after I read over the thread. c:

I'll get back to you, although I feel as though it won't do any good for us. =/

My reads are never good, so I'm sorry if they are flimsy.

Don't put yourself down so much, you weren't useless at all. Your transparency and straight forwardness made me sure you were town in the last two games. I'm not getting that feeling right now from you. Absolutely understand everyone changes their playstyle though but the change in personality is putting me off a little

Now, I'll look through the thread now.

I'm on my laptop now rather than my tablet, yay.

Lol, I put my reply to Mog in her post.

If the question is being forwarded to me, it should be trundle or Hayden lynched. It's one part a gut theory, one part they town lean each other and one part a random lynch and lastly for the lols.

Trundle = apple if anyone didn't know

I have three guesses: Trundle, Heyden and Corrie.

Trundle - Forwarded a question to a newer and more vulnerable player rather than everyone, Corrie is an easy target. However I think the question's only purpose was to start a conversation but why would it only be directed towards Corrie?

Heyden - Said Trundle is "good in his books" is pretty silly and making someone the least of your worries because they are "the only one trying to do something" doesn't stand right with me.

Corrie - As Panda pointed out she was evasive in answering Trundle's question, which correlates with her previous games as she was rather evasive in those when she was mafia too but given the questions earliness she's off the hook. Anymore evasiveness in your posts and I'm onto you. At this point I don't think it's fair to question Corrie too much.

Also I don't think meta will do me much good this game, other games have proven it isn't really helpful so I wont be using it as much this time.

Out of everyone who has posted so far, who would you all think is most likely to be mafia?

Being blunt, the only person who I find suspicious by now is you Zendel. I promised myself I wouldn't go with META reasoning so putting that aside, this sentence is one of the biggest red flags in the thread for me:

Also I'm not having a great day, so my attitude my change tomorrow or later on when I feel better.

A post like this signifies that you realize you aren't playing completely normal and you expect to change your tone and whatnot throughout the game. Pointing it out yourself before any one else can comes across me as a little too careful, something I personally don't think town would do

Aside from that, by letting everyone know that you are "not having a great day," you are using a tactic known as "appeal to emotion," something quite a few of the more experience players can recognize. Whether you intended it or not, you subconsciously are making the other players feel bad for you, thus taking tension or intensity out of people's pushes.
However I've never seen anyone use ATE on Day 1, so it might not mean you are mafia, but Appeal to Emotion is a scum tactic

And for that reason, Zendel is my first scum lean

6 would be a lot of mafia, can you explain why you thought this/put it in your answer?

I didn't really think about it properly now you say it
I'd change it to 4 maybe

Okay, I honestly don't mind if you scum read me your reasoning is fair.

What's ATE?

Oh wait, never mind!

Appeal to emotion, duh! lol. :p
